Enjoyed our meal here. Service was good. May have been due to the fact that we were one of two tables. The starters were delicious. The mains were a little bland and just very sweet. The tikka should have been at least a little spicey. But the peshwari naan was delectable. We were completely stuffed
To behonest this is not my first time at the rodeo. I have had the pleasure of eating at the India Gate before.
But as an update on my previous review I would like to assess if it is still the best Indian restaurant in portsmouth.

Great place, my grandmother (R.I.P) use to live nearby in hale Court flats and I went in here a few times, I’ll comeback soon, lovely place and I miss my Nan

Ordered and delivery arrived on time without issues. Food delivered by a very pleasant delivery chap. The order included the garlic chilli beef, honey roasted spicey lamb and an old favourite... a chicken dansak. All full of flavour, the beef and lamb dish not tried before and will order again. The

I have now been to this place twice, and I have ordered from many other Indian restaurants in Portsmouth. This has to be the best I've found! The Chicken Tikka Masala is probably the best food we have ever eaten! I will continue to order from here for there great service and food! Thank you so much!
