We visited again and found the food to be excellent. Decent value too.
A unpretentious good quality restaurant.
June 2023: On a rare night without children about, my wife and I decided to try "Cedar".
We were not disappointed. Sides and mains were very good and reasonably priced. We ate our fill and the bill came to just over £40.
Lavatory was spotlessly clean also!
Recommended.
Visited here a few times now and always enjoy the simplicity of the food. Great Middle Eastern flavours and plenty on your plate. You can't leave here feeling hungry.
Always nice to finish with a Lebanese coffee.
They don't have an alcohol licence though, which some may think is a bad thing, personally it makes no difference to me.
The best restaurant that i found in UK is Cedar. The restaurant welcomed us with warm and friendly. The mains was good with all of meals we love. We enjoyed the food.The customer service was outstanding, and the food was exactly what I was looking for.They went above and beyond to help me find the perfect item. I was very impressed with the quality and quantity of the food I received.Delicious food, appealing atmosphere, helpful staff, and brilliant service. The environment of the restaurant was so good that i wished to stay more. Thank you so much Cedar.

Such lovely food. We went a bit crazy and ordered loads but it was nice to sample all. We also had mint tea and cardamom tea which was great and a nice change to the usual alcoholic drinks we would have at a meal
After a long time i felt something homely. The taste of home food i got from Cedar restaurant. To me, Cedar is the best Lebanese restaurant in Portsmouth. Every person who wants to taste real taste of Lebanese food should eat and taste the yummy food. Almost every time i prefer to eat food from Cedar restaurant. The smell, presentation, quality, quantity of food is amazing here. I can still feel the taste in my mouth. ❤️❤️

Really positive experience! The restaurant's atmosphere is warm and the staff is welcoming and accomodating. The food is really good, typical of the middle east cuisine. The portions are generous and prices are low. Strongly suggested.
Took my children here and they loved it, food was very tasty and the portion size was huge, price was more then reasonable and all staff where incredibly friendly and helpful. Fantastic place highly recommend
Came for anniversary! Had an amazing time and definitely recommend their lamb sharwama, lamb chops, batata harra and kibbeh.
We were in Portsmouth for the weekend and searched ahead of time for a place to eat Lebanese food, which we love. We
chose Cedar, and were not disappointed. We had a fantastic meal on Sunday night (4th June). The spicy sausage mezze was to die for, all the food was fabulous and great value too. We will definitely be back the next time we’re in Portsmouth. 5 stars and highly recommended by us.
First Lebanese food experience for me and my husband. The food here are really tasty and big portion. I love the lamb rice it absolutely gorgeous. The price is really good as well. The staffs are friendly. I would go back there and recommend my family and friends for sure.
Amazing food, cooked to perfection. Great service, relaxing atmosphere. Also, has a back garden where you can relax and enjoy a shisha with friends.
