There are not enough words to explain how much we love this place. Amazing bread, amazing cakes, even my 9 month old goes nuts for the toast. Makes it impossible to stick to the diet but worth every calorie :)
Perfect spot for Sunday brunch! Lovely food, coffee & friendly staff.
Just had the best gluten free hazelnut and chocolate brownie. Thank you!
Love this place!!! Had awesome eggs and avo on toast, a delicious double espresso and bloody brilliant service. I will defiantly be heading back soon.
Really lovely food...had homemade bread, eggs, avocado, smoked salmon, salad ...delish!
Lovely friendly service..great latte...good prices...scrummy blueberry franzipan tart...definitely be back. Well done guys.
Wonderful cakes and desserts. Also good coffee. We had just been for a pub lunch in Portsmouth and was walking by in need of afters! We guessed it would be the right place to go and we were right.
We loved the bread, particularly the sour dough and really pleased to have another independent business in the neighbourhood. Despite some concerns at one point over an irrelevant issue, the owners have been friendly and welcoming and responded quickly to our inquiry. An asset to the area and a commendable effort supplying locally made products to local businesses. Cheers guys!
Just had a takeaway brunch and loved it my eggs were so good even after the walk home .we will be back
A great local artisan bakery producing the finest #realbread #sourdough and patisserie; the #cinnamontwists are amazing!
Walked in to a smell of heaven , the food was amazing definitely going back .
The best bread in Portsmouth! It's pricy but worth the money! The gluten free brownies are amazing too!
The Square Mile - Red Brick coffee is excellent, the freshly prepared food is delicious whilst affordable and the pastries are incredible. My pick(s) would be the cinnamon buns and flourless brownies. This is now my favourite go-to place in Southsea for a coffee and treat.
The freshest and tastiest pastries, complimenting a perfectly made latte! Easily lured in by the smell of fresh bread as you pass. Lovely little place!
First time yesterday and it was lovely. The poached eggs were amazing. The bread was the best I've tasted οΏ½ will be back soon to try on of your cinnamon buns that smelt mouth watering .
Please allow me to say this is my top favourite bakery shop ever in UK π¬π§!!!!

If you want to check out the prices all shows on the video.

All staffs are excellent and very friendly, always very helpful! If you coming to Portsmouth please come and visit this amazing place π
I have visited BA countless times and love both the homemade sourdough bread and pastries they create. It's hard to pick a favourite. Sorry it's an old photo of mine.
Such a lovely little bakery with the best selection of baked goods. The chai latte was one of the best Iβve had and the pistachio cruffin was delicious and not too sweet. You can also see them making bread behind the counter which is fun to watch whilst you wait for your order. As said there is little space inside with only a few seat so perfect to takeaway. The take-out lid didnβt fit on my cup but was so tasty that I drank it quickly anyway. Will definitely be going back to try the rest of their menu!
I must say it's the best bread shop I have met in Portmouth. It's ten minutes walking distance from my apartment, thats my luck. All bread and pastry are freshly baked and made. Almond croissant is amazing. I buy it every two days. I can't imagine after I return to home how I willsurvive without almond coissants from BREAD ADDITION?! Love their bread!
An absolutely wonderful gem here in Portsmouth. The staff are wonderful and kind. The cinnamon buns are vegan and light and delectable. I have nothing negative to say about it in the slightest. An excellent spot I highly recommend.
Update: I went back to try the Pistachio Cruffin. There is no clean or polite way to eat this gorgeous mess. But it is delectable!
The pistachio cruffin was exceptional. The cream was light & the pastry flaky with the right amount of sweetness. I also had a cheese and pickle toastie. The bread was delicious and itβs great that they make all their goods in-house.
Great bread shop, always fresh produce cooked on site. Sometimes stocks are limited if you get there late in the day and parking can be a little tricky but well worth the effort. The bread is excellent and the pastries and treads are delicious. They often do unusual pastries such as rhubarb and pistachio.
This place is a lovely dog friendly cafe it offeres a wide range of sandwich fillings and also other cake type things, they make the bread in the cafe so has a lovely smell and is always warm. It is not noisy. This place is not cheap so make sure you have got a 20 pound note in your pocket!

Super bakery with lovely, delicious treats for breakfast or lunch. A few seats to sit but more suited to take out.
I go to this bakery as a treat for myself sometimes. Great fresh sourdough bread, great pastries, my favourite is the sausage rolls, absolutely amazing. Friendly staff. Highly recommend this bakery.
Amazing. Wednesday cinnamon buns and a hot drink days are the best!!! π People who work here are amazing. Their breakfast is so so so good. Love their vegan sea salt chocolate biscuits. And the chewy delicious croissants. There's a reason most shops round here get their names goods from bread addiction. It's amazing. My kids adore their sourdough. Cut out the middle man and eat all the things here.
Hands down the greatest baked goods youβll ever have. From the bread, to the pastriesβ¦.utterly scrumptious! Those cinnamon buns!!! Heaven.
Absolutely delicious toasties, sandwiches, bread and pastries! Excellent!
We love this little place. But as you can see in the photo so does most of southsea so you have to get there early before they sell out! They mainly do sourdough bread which is gorgeous I'd highly recommend it. Their pastries and cakes are divine and they have a couple of vegan and gluten free options. Theres a few tables so you can sit in and eat or drink coffee and the bakery is open so you can see all the tasty carbs being made......might be worth knowing they open early for a coffee shop in southsea, 8am on the weekend I think but they're closed on a Monday tho!
Well worth the journey to this lovely little place. The freshly baked breads and cakes are absolutely delicious. You can get a great choice of breakfast and lunch. The front of the bakery has a few tables where you can sit down although you may habe to wait for a gree table. You can find parking place on the road if you arrive on car. Clean, friendly place. Highly reccomended.
Not only do Bread Addiction produce consistently delicious pastries and breads, they also create beautiful artisan desserts like this one made to preorder - a chocolate and hazelnut Christmas log. It was a big hit with everyone in my family and made our Christmas special! It would be hard to find desserts of this quality anywhere else in Portsmouth.
Just visiting the area and was advised to go to bread addiction. Addiction is about right. Everything in there was delicious. Specifically (in my humble opinion) the strawberry cream tart.
Great, everything was perfect. Weβve ordered pastry and olive bread, all of them delicious.
Excellent baked goods and optional hot beverage too
