Visited the southsea village for a belated birthday , amazed at the transformation from the old owens , ordered a pizza �, must admit ran a pizza takeaway for over 10 years , and that was the best pizza I've had since I made my own , staff where very friendly , and reminded me of being abroad , nothing is too much , excellant start to a new business , thoroughly enjoyed my belated birthday , will definately return
I’m teaching Zumba class over every Saturday at 11am. My students liked the place , the atmosphere and to be first pub in Portsmouth to have a Zumba class. Very good idea. Teacher is happy, students are happy and enjoy to come every Saturday morning. Zumba fitness make a party , friends and improve your health always. Xxx
I hired out the room for a birthday and really enjoyed it. We had a selection of meat, veggie and vegan eaters and the menu covered them all and the food was so good and the guys managed to get all the food out together. Love their selection of gins and beers. Would go back and hope they keep the vegan menu!!

First visit today very impressed, food was great pizza was huge and a nice touch with the staff bringing the drinks to the table after you ordered at the bar. Really clean and trendy decor too
What a great find!
Two of us were looking for another pizza restaurant in Southsea and spotted this place. The other pizza place looked a bit too up market for us - we just wanted a comfortable place the eat and chat. The Southsea Village was perfect for our needs. A large spacious room, with comfortable chairs. Nicely presented. The pizza kitchen is in the same room, so it's easy to see the pizza being made. The chef was very friendly and promised a good pizza. There was an offer on - 2 pizzas and 2 drinks for £20, which sounded good. We could choose any two pizzas from the menu. The drinks choices were more limited, but sufficient for us. We chose the classic pizza (pepperoni) and the bacon & brie pizza, plus a pint of Inches cider and a pint of Pravda. We each had half of each pizza, as in the photo. The whole meal was excellent value for money. The pizzas were particularly good. I would highly recommend. I am a bit fussy about pizza, so finding this place made me very happy.
Great vegan pizza and good beer. Initial welcome was a bit luke warm, but I'm glad to persevered.
Hi we went here from a break from Victorious and ordered food not to be told had an hour and a half wait. We asked 3 times in order to chase our meal up as we had to be back at Victorious at 8pm before entry was closed.
In the end we decided to ask for a refund. The manager agreed to the refund and gave us a free drink each and our meal arrived promptly. Albeit eaten hastily we made it back dead on 8pm.
Thankyou to the staff at the Southsea Village as I'm sure under normal circumstances things would have run smoothly. But thank you for making a wrong a right. We will come back at a quieter time as the food was lovely.
Their friendly and helpful staff always makes our visits ever more enjoyable. They have a superb range of beers that change regularly and a good selection of food that, so far we can say is well prepared and super tasty.
Food and drink orders arrive promptly at your table, plus if you order off their app, you get £5 off the first bill.
Update-25/9/22. The App was down, but friendly / helpful staff stepped in.
Only one issue, the sticky sausages' recipe must have changed...they were much better before 😋

Solid 4.5 stars! (just a shame I cant give half stars)
It was such a nice restaurant to be in, first time being down in Southsea and stumbled across this place due to Covid and original place we wanted to eat was full in numbers - We had a temp check at the door then was seated in seconds.
The service was good, friendly and enjoyable for the kids, full menu was on the cards (August 2020) so was happy to gain the full experience. The dining area had a calm pub like atmosphere
Food - was nice and decent sizes even down the the kids meals as see attached. The starters that we had could have been shared between the 4 of us. The Kids Pizza's we didn't expect to be that big but it was perfect size for them both. The Mains I would have liked more chips however with the starter/sides we had I turned out to be okay would have liked more sauce for the size of the meals but hey everyone is different.
Toilets were clean. The overall time spent in this restaurant was just a great vibe
only improvement I would say is to have better deserts for someone who is allergic to chocolate its hard to find somewhere which doesnt sell a decent desert without chocolate, so improvement would be to switch it up a little
I don't usually leave reviews but on Friday 16th June I was impressed with Nadia's customer service.
Her speed of service, professionalism and great sense of humour was hard to forget.
I attended the Karoke evening with a friend and was made to feel very welcome.
She kept on smiling even when it was really busy.
Nadia definitely contributed to mine and my friends very enjoyable evening.
I would like to say thank you Nadia and to all your staff who made it a night to remember.
Keep doing what you are doing!!

Following the complete refurbishment by new owners in 2017, the Southsea Village appears to have gone from strength to strength. All too often the enthusiasm and professionalism of staff can wane after the first few weeks of opening but here, under strong management, standards remain high. In a warm and welcoming atmosphere, the pub offers a good range of drinks ncluding craft, traditional and international beers, lagers and ciders together with a wide range of spirits and liqueurs. The kitchen, positioned so as to be visible to customers, offers a range of burgers, pizzas and vegetarian options. The food and drink offer continues to evolve and the pub offers a rather more comfortable option than the increasingly prevalent and sterile 'Tap & Kitchen" type bar.
Friday nights are always good in here for karaoke 🎤 all age groups , good atmosphere
First time in here for quite a while, it's no longer a pub to be honest more a eatery now, but I must say they served the best Doom Bar ale I've ever had, no other ales on offer sadly. Over 10 squids for a wine and beer ouch. But clean and tidy, friendly staff.
It was my husbands birthday and I booked a table and the team went above and beyond with getting him a little present and some cupcakes! It was perfect! It's been a favourite place of ours to go to for a while but this has officially made it our favourite place to go out and eat/chill! The team were great as always and really looked after us. Thank you so much! We'll be back soon! :)
We hosted our wedding reception here! It was fantastic all through the planning process, Chris was so receptive on emails and meeting us, the service really was above and beyond with the prosecco and (the REALLY tasty) pizza buffet really well managed, we were able to drop things off the day before and it was all set up ready for us when we arrived it all went so smoothly thank you Southsea Village for a fabulous time! The darts and the shuffleboard went down a treat with the guests!
