The pizza we ordered was amazing, just like in Italy. It was one of the best Margaritas I’ve ever eaten in the UK. The staff was very welcoming and the manager offered us a table on the balcony even if it wasn’t opened yet. Next time when we go back to Portsmouth, we will definitely visit Strada.
Cool location at Gunwharf Quays. I had superfood salad which was good, I can surely recommend it. Staff were nice. Reasonable prices. I wish they have more vegetarian options. Overall good experience...
Consistently great food we had the Pesto bread to start, they will change the dish to suit, I wanted chicken and chillies in my main pasta dish and they made it for me, nothing too much trouble. Lovely helpful staff and our server took time to have a friendly chat. This is by far our favourite Italian in Gunwharf.
Good location at Gun Wharf. The menu is limited with 6-7 choices per main type (antipasto / pizzas for example). Food tastes great especially if you like Italian like me. Staff were nice. Reasonable prices.
Came here for a friends birthday on Saturday night & had a great time. We had prebooked our table & when we arrived we got to choose where we sat. Our waitress was absolutely lovely (Caitlin) and was very accommodating throughout, nothing was too much trouble.
Prices are very reasonable & we all fully enjoyed our meal. It came to about £18 a head (for 5 of us) for two starters, 5 mains & we all had an alcoholic beverage. Food didn’t take ages to come out either. I will be coming back in the future. We had an amazing time.
Top quality Italian food. Probably the best of the chain Italian restaurants. We went on pizza Monday which meant that all pizzas were £5 so representing great value. The waiter was friendly but didn't try too hard which was refreshing. Good food, good service, couldn't do much better.
Been here a few times now, and I have to say, the food is very good. Utterly Italian with lots of Mediterranean twists, and a really varied menu, too. Staff are friendly and very well informed, always an essential part of restaurants that gets overlooked! I will definitely go again. Lovely.
Always had fantastic service and food at Strada and am a bit baffled by some of the negative comments here. Last Saturday the service was perfect (polite, friendly and efficient) whilst the food was exceptional (the Tuscan bean soup and tagliatelle bolognese were as good as anything I've eaten on several holidays to various parts of Italy, including Tuscany!). My partner also rated her dishes very highly.
Excellent food. We were early so we settled on the set menu thinking that it would be a budget meal in terms of quantity as well as price. We were wrong. The portions were lavish and flavoursome. We enjoyed our meal very much. Our server, Caitlir, was attentive without being obvious, dealing with our every request effectively with a cheerful smile and sometimes a little banter, which we also enjoyed very much. If all stradas are this good we will be looking out them more on our travels. Highly recommended.
A taste of authentic Italian food in Portsmouth. A wonderful meal, good service and we didn't have to wait hours, just long enough for fresh preparation of each dish. This was a family get together which is rare as my brother lives in Hawaii, lovely evening
Great Monday deal. The manager and waitress could not have done more. Food was tasty, hot and arrived in good time. Great value also. I will heartily recommend Strata to anyone eating at Gunwharf!
Had a fabulous lunch with my daughter and grand daughter our waitress Lizz (Australian) was amazing she knew we were unfortunately in a rush due to appointment yet she had an air of calm warm efficiency about her very friendly made time to interact with my grand daughter and chat to us which we instigated whilst also making sure everyone else who was dining with you was equally looked after. Good food good company great staff and sunshine couldn't ask for more. Many thanks Lisa hopkins.
This was my first visit to a Strada restaurant for about 8 years. Lovely location at Gunwharf and a nice relaxed vibe. Service at lunchtime in October was attentive without feeling at all rushed.
Calzone, tagliatelle and pizza all great - and the ladies enjoyed their puddings. Our bottle of Montepulciano was authentic and the mark-up not desperately steep.
Good value, simple Italian food. But I wish they'd put the Pollo Milanese back onto the menu!
Good and reasonably priced food. Clean and welcoming chain Italian restaurant so not quite as special as some places. Can be busy depending on time. Nice selection of wines and beers but only one ale on offer.
