Choice of carrots, baked parsnip, swede, cauliflower cheese, leek bake, red and green cabbage, with crispy sliced top potatoes, Beef, Turkey, Gammon and Pork.
Extremely lovely friendly staff who keep the place clean after each customer.

Despite the gray exterior the food was outstanding and it came out of the kitchen quickly. I really appreciated the chili sauce that came with the burger. Friendly staff. Everyone in our party enjoyed their meal.
Took a large group pre-booked from our twin city in Germany for a Carvery experience. This was after the usual Carvery serving time and a group of around 30. The food was excellent and the service, the staff very helpful. Would thoroughly recommend.

The carvery was amazing. I would definitely recommend booking a table here as people were being turned away. The food was so delicious and the staff were so lovely and polite. The only thing that lets it down is the toilets could do with being bought up to date. Otherwise a really fantastic visit

Having met waitress Sarah she was very helpful, friendly and attentive. She made the difference to our enjoyment of a normal pub lunch into a pleasant experience. Excellent food , sausage and mash, egg, ham and chips. A great lunch!
We found it really nice perfect for bigger together as you pay as you order so none of that awkward splitting the bill carnage, food was surprisingly nice for a prepaid pub however with the belly pork and liver and bacon going down a treat

Although we don’t live in Portsmouth we’ve eaten twice here and both times it’s been great, friendly staff and the food is great. The Sunday carvery certainly did the trick today, most enjoyable.
A well needed and well earned pint after visiting the phenomenal ships in the dockyard.

Never eaten or drank here before but as we were going to a charity event/show at the groundlings theatre Portsmouth just up the road it seemed a logical choice .
What can I say.. Fantastic place , clean vibrant busy tad noisy at the bar end so if u want a more peaceful meal sit further down lol

Superb food home cooked, recommended, can get busy but good atmosphere. Ale on offer was a bit flat, Atlantic and pricey for drinks. But food was excellent!
Great place with a great atmosphere, Food is tasty and cheap enough to be able to leave the place full under 20 pounds.
The staff is friendly and energetic.
