Absolutely love the food especially the catch of day on my last visit of the Venue, very friendly and personable service, love the garden , very secluded and away from the wind ! Dog friendly and an independent pub most importantly!!
I had friends and family for a Birthday Sunday lunch today. It was fantastic, the food was delicious and beautifully presented. The staff very friendly and service was excellent. The atmosphere was great too. Thank you to A Bar Bistro for a perfect day.
Superb bistro, c pi ups hot fault the food, service or atmosphere. Highly recommended.
So far, their fish & chips should be the top one or two I had tried in the UK. But I only travelled to some cities and never searched for the best except that I visited in London. Certainly, their price is in proportion to the price. I think the difference is not double or could be 60 or 70%. Their
Been eating and drinking here for years and tonight’s experience was no different, great location, great service and great food, the new pizza oven is a brilliant new introduction, but more veggie options please. The hidden gem is Camber Wines upstairs where they have an amazing choice of wines. Enj
Update 10/2021 - 02/2023: All of the below still applies without question, a very consistent restaurant. Great tasting food from a seasonally changed menu. The surroundings are of superb quality, perfect for a lovely slap up meal, or just drinks if you wish. They have an excellent selection of wine
I've been here twice within the past two months with different friend, and spent too much money.... But it was WORTH IT! The first time I came here, we went to the wine tasting experience. It was light hearted, enjoyable, educational, and beautifully finished off with some tasty food. The second tim
Great atmosphere. Not always easy to get booked. Food was great. Limited choice for vegans but the vegan pizza I had was great. Top quality wines. Not fully accessible if you can't manage steps.
Excellent experience much larger inside than you expect great bar area and 2 restaurant areas fantastic wine list great adventurous food menu wood fired pizza oven too.
The food and the atmosphere was great. We had our daughter’s wedding reception there because of this.
First time here as not local on honeymoon and had been recommended to eat here. On approaching didn't look like what we thought as loads of people out the front drinking. Guessing you could eat out as tables outside. Once inside a different story, restaurant is lovely not overly big well the part we
Always reliably good. Chose the special this time, turbot with smoked haddock arancini & mussel sauce. Absolutely delicious.
Great bar restaurant. The food was really well prepared and cooked (delicious) and the staff were so good and attentive. Recommended.
Very nice place to eat! We ate the special of the day and everything was really good. Always ask to the waiters what they suggest here 🙂 I’ll go back for sure.
Just nipped in whilst waiting for the IOW ferry. Had the best pizza I've had in a long time. Shame we're the other side of the water as it would definitely be a regular haunt. If we're early for the ferry again we'll be back.
Very tasty food . Good choice of wine. Friends enjoyed their bream and the seafood pizza. I had the celeriac steak which was good.
Feels brisk, bight and breezy. A wood-fired pizza oven for simple, authentic pizza, but more interesting for its varied à la carte menu. Our choice: Fish of the Day (Sea Bream) and Pumpkin & Maple soup. Excellently prepared, with unexpected attention to detail - wonderful, crisp pan fried Sea Bream
