Went for a Sunday lunch, plenty to choose from and also two veggie options.
Veggie roast was really tastey and very reasonably priced. Cost me £25 for dinner, dessert and a cider.

We have tried several times and found the same quality of service and taste in all of them. They are dog-friendly, so you never feel stressed when you go with your dog. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Finding a seat is not a problem unless it's on match days. So far, we have tried fish&chips
Where do I start... Very friendly, happy, smiling staff. Given all options on how to order, where to sit etc. And the food is far above expectations for what is normally expected from a pub!

The Eastney Tavern is a gem! The cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and delicious food make it a must visit. I especially loved their local beer selection. It's a great place to unwind and enjoy some quality time with friends.
We took our Yorkshire relatives there for a meal and drinks, they thoroughly enjoyed it. Good atmosphere, wonderful service, every member of staff polite and helpful 👍
Staff were lovely nice welcoming atmosphere when you first walk in good prices and the food was amazing a good variety a little bit for everyone waitress was very polite and attentive and couldn’t do enough for us. Would highly recommend
The provenance of the meat is next level. The veg freshly picked. The service endearingly saucy. Good selection of beers. Wine pairing pretty good too. A Go to place when entertaining uninitiated guests. Old school with a young heart. Pukka!
Visited for the Monday deal and had the pork chops. Food was great with good sized portions - the suace was a real highlight. Excellent value, definitely recommend.
Had a steak at lunchtime and was really good. Signs on the table can be reversed so you can order via the app or request table service.... such a good idea. The service was polite and efficient and will visit here again when in Portsmouth.
We live close by and have been here quite a lot, over the years. The staff are friendly, the service is good and the food is impressive. Lovely Sunday roast...Enough food to feed a small army so nobody is left wanting! The normal menu is great too, would highly recommend, this is one of the best pubs in Southsea

Delicious family lunch and great real ale. The staff were friendly and efficient. There is a great choice in the menu. Two of our party had the ‘small portion’ fish and chips (£10) which was a perfect size for them and beautifully cooked. Two of us chose from the specials menu. We chose lambs chops
This is a great local that serves excellent food! Lovely team - so friendly - and always welcoming. For the tourists, it's 5 minutes walk from the beach!
The roast dinner was amazing...although I wish the Yorkshire pud was bigger. Even though the pub was super busy the staff were attentive and friendly. Definitely recommend
