The Fab Fabio is a barman who knows his stuff and loves a "something like" challenge the Blizz Martini was a marvel.
The food is now on another level, the menu looks to match seasonality and sumptuous experience, the party I dined with had pigeon ( perfect) scallops (sensational) and goats cheese ( dreamy).
Mains were Chicken ( best ever) lamb ( not to pink) and butternut squash steak (stunning)
Considering the number of M stars my fellow dinners have clocked up they were very happy to return at any time.

Really friendly staff lovely afternoon tea � only thing I would say which is not a negative just a suggestion is maybe bigger tea pots because we had to ask for more tea which staff were abliging but would off save them time but but a really lovely place to have afternoon tea and they seem to be making lovely looking cocktails for another group if only we had the time I'm sure I would off endulged in having a cocktail or two .
Quick sunday lunch for three yesterday, we recieved a friendly welcome, the food was very well presented and tasted lovely, had the creme brulee for dessert was divine. Well worth a visit.

Came here on Sunday for Prosecco Brunch to celebrate my best friends engagement, the food was amazing but full credit to Yasmin our waitress really made our day, nothing was too much trouble, arrived at 930am and we didn't leave until 4!! Fantastic place!!

Initially worried as I turned up to a full bar with a sign 'Baby Shower'. I hadn't realised that they do a bottomless brunch on a Sunday, so it's possible it overran. I was directed to the room at the back where all of the other lunch customers were awaiting their menu/meals. Lovely chairs and nicely dressed tables - a boutique hotel feel. 90s pop music playing, which I wasn't expecting, but being a 90s baby this was fine (perhaps avoid if you are hungover or like a quieter space). Staff friendly and the lady on her first trial shift so efficient and confident I thought that she had been there a long time. Roast beautiful and the Yorkshire pudding perfect! You pay for what you get. Would be nice to visit again with family, but may be better during the week for them when it's a little quieter. My only criticism would be that the brunch party should have moved on before the lunch customers moved in as it felt a bit chaotic and affected service (to begin with). Looking at brunch times it is 11am to 12:30pm so a little confused why still at 2:30pm the bar was full.
Great night! Weren't planning on stopping in here, we were let down by another venue. However, service and atmosphere were absolutely fantastic. The GM is the best bartender, mixed up cocktails like an artist and is genuinely funny. Will definitely go back .
My wife and I had an overnight stay in Southsea, April 26, so went out hoping to find a decent restaurant and within minutes we found Monty's and what a 'find'! Great welcome from the front-of-house man, whom we later found out was Sonny. The food was magnificent, especially the lamb rump and my wife's vegetarian risotto very flavoursome. If you get the chance go there.
Best brunch in Portsmouth! Besides delicious food and the constant flow of drinks, the staff were friendly and extremely helpful. Will definitely be returning.

Visited Monty’s at the weekend with a small group of friends. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We enjoyed lovely cocktails and delicious food. I would definitely return to try other dishes on the menu.
Came for brunchThe staff was very attentive, Spencer and Sonny made sure mine and my families experience was up to standard and went above and beyond to ensure we had the best service possible. Very professional when making the drinks and serving them to us, however the food took a little while to come out. Would definitely come again, staff and drinks were lovely. One of the best meals out I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere, amazing food and the most attentive, polite staff. Will be back again soon and telling everyone we know to book a table. Will be trying the bottomless brunch soon as well. Thanks for a great evening.
I called in at Monty's for drinks after work with my girlfriend, which turned into a full meal because the festive menu was too tempting.
We had the mushroom pithivier with all the trimmings (special shout-out to the roast potatoes!), sticky toffee pudding, and a cheeseboard.
The food was incredible, lovely and comforting on a cold December evening. Bar / service manager Sonny was perfect, so friendly and helpful. The festive decorations and flower / plant wall are the perfect Christmas touch
The best bottomless brunch I’ve ever been too! The food and drink was lovely, but it was the staff that worked there who made it (particularly Sonny)! They were so attentive, and nothing was too much trouble! Our glasses were constantly topped up, as well as all the other cocktails that kept coming! Would definitely recommend this to anyone, the staff make the place!
Exceptional service, Sonny completely made our night and really seemed to care about making our evening the best he could. The cocktails were gorgeous (all his suggestions) and the food was amazing (the pancetta mash...oh my days...). Highly recommended. Faultless evening.
The food here is exceptional. Many places aspire or claim to be high end; this place lets it’s good do the talking. I could not fault any element of any dish. Very, very talented chef in this kitchen. Will definitely be going again
Superb restaurant. Delicious food. Great staff. Was apprehensive about the place, completely unfounded and would recommend dining here. Courteous staff who were more than happy to oblige with any requests. If you’re a whisky/bourbon person then their Old Fashioned is one of the best I’ve ever had. Food was delicious and the portions were more than adequate. Not the cheapest place to dine, but wanted quality food and drinks and they certainly delivered! Thanks to Fabio and his staff for a great evening and we will return.
came for a bottomless brunch last Saturday. The service was exceptional. Not once were our drinks empty, Sonny our server took care of us throughout. We particularly liked the addition of the selfie light Sonny produced when taking pictures in front of their feature wall. We will most definitely be back!
Booked this place for our wedding anniversary and was not disappointed. All 3 courses were stunning, drinks were incredible and the staff went beyond to make the evening special. Would 100% recommend 👌👌👌
Sunday Roast plus sweet x 2 and a bottle of wine came to £84 ! Was it nice? Yes delicious. Staff were very helpful and attentive without being over the top. My wife had chicken and I had lamb. Chicken was succulent and the lamb was to die for. Would I recommend Monty's to friends and family? Not sure. I don't have a huge appetite but a couple of more potatoes and half as much lamb again wouldn't of gone a miss. What I received although extremely nice, cannot be considered value for money. It is not an average priced Sunday Lunch nor is it fine dining. Shame really, it was the only thing they got wrong. Portions received not worth the money paid. I did leave a tip. Excellent service. Waiter wasn't responsible for plating up.
