Interesting to explore above and behind the lighthouse where the living quarters and battery are housed. Lighthouse itself is a holiday rental so can only be seen from above or through a locked gate accessed down a sloped path. Good views round to St Mawes and over to Falmouth from cliff top. Lanes

Many walks can be taken from this area, with the shortest being around 35-40 minutes..

Stunning scenery of a nice day with sweeping views across Falmouth Harbour and headland.

Very beautiful part of not only Cornwall, but of the world. Wonderful trails and interesting sites. Really enjoyed a few hours of walking around this National Trust site.
Great views and good walking spot with a national trust car park. The lighthouse is reached by a quite precipitous path though! Also, the narrow road to the Head is not for the feint of heart. Spent a lot of time reversing down hills in order to resolve passing issues!
A beautiful spot and one of our favourite walk locations. An ideal starting point for a 5.5 mile circular walk, walking east along the coast path to Towan Beach, turning left inland and across to the Percuil River and then turning towards Place House and picking up the path back to St Anthony Head.
Beautiful walk around coast of Roseland peninsula. Ferry from St. Mawes to Place or drive to Portscatho or Gerans or Towan Beach. Coast path is lovely and stunning scenery. Bunkers and look outs very interest above the lighthouse. Fantastic 0laces to stop for a picnic and enjoy beautiful countryside
Would recommend for a day trip, though I would not recommend for anyone who is disabled.
Though it has lovely views and history, it does have a wheelchair accessible area but it is still rather steep. They have tried there best here though.
Other than that, it's a lovely quiet place with some amazi
We stayed in the Major's Quarters for the last week and it was a super place to stay. Peace and quiet, wonderful views, great for birdwatching. The accommodation was just right for our needs. Would definitely recommend to anyone.
