Ate at the Harbour Bistro last night with my Husband and 12 year old. I have to say that the food was FAB. I had the Salmon and my Hubby had the T Bone both done on the wood burning stove. The staff where lovely, pleasant and always had a smile unlike the chap at the reception of the Wine Bar who was unpleasant and had a face on him like he was sucking a lemon. He could take a few pointers from the staff in The Bistro

Been several times and always had a delicious meal. Food and service is fantastic and excellent value for money. Be sure to leave room for dessert. . . they are a must have !!!!

Filet was amazing, sunset view from behind the bar was to die for. Best seat in the house is corner of the kitchen bar. Slow initial drink order and check after meal but we hardly noticed with the great entertainment in the kitchen.

Fantastic views over the bay and a very tight yet interesting menu. The focus is on meat, which is butchered and cooked to perfection ( especially the Piri piri chicken) although we had the roast cauliflower which was outstanding. Our minor issue was slightly undercooked fries/ chips but it was dealt with in a most professional manor so we remained extremely happy with our restaurant choice tonight.

Sceptical because of the reviews but this was honestly one of the best meals I’ve ever had. The rare fillet steak was unbelievable, didn’t even use the sauce I got. Great place and great food! Better than anything in Belfast.

Great Tapas. Liked everything loved the tomahawk, the garlic shrimp, the papas and the meatball sliders. Everything came out very quickly and made us rush. Great views and great service.

We had a lovely meal here. We were a party of 6. Warmly welcomed by Arnie and Hayley. Staff were very attentive, starters were fab. Sharing steaks were really good.

First time going here for very special occasion which was stated on booking ..no mention of the occasion by any staff. Food was good but starters state they are sharing plates so for at least 2 sharing...ok if people like same things. Were seated right across from kitchen service area which was extremely busy and loud...hearing chef shout out orders to staff/table numbers etc...couldn't hear eachother talk!! not the most enjoyable/relaxing. At one point one of our party actually received a decibel warning on their phone!!

Had a really good meal at Basalt, I had the calamari and the prawn pasta. The food was full of flavour and really fresh. As you can see i do enjoy seafood. The service was really good and everyone was really friendly.

I unexpectedly had one of my best parties this year at Basalt! A group of friends from London and myself spent the weekend in Port Stewart, and ended up having dinner in Portrush one of the nights. After dinner, we walked into Basalt, not expecting more than a quick drink before returning home. That's when the the seemingly impossible happened: we were received by the contagious party fever of patrons and staff alike, tearing up the dance floor to the sound of disco music, led by the now legendary Willie Gregg. The dj was also trully incredible, second to none I have listened to over the years in London, delivering a masterful music trip. We danced, shouted, jumped and had the time of our lives. Honorable mention to Willie's colleague with the flashlight, whose name I didn't learn, and who added personality to the whole night. Fantastic!

We ate at Basalt last night and it was fabulous! Every dish was beautifully presented and delicious! We had to order via the QR code and didn’t have long to wait given there were only 4 floor staff working. All the staff were very attentive and polite given the circumstances so should be proud of themselves! We will be back again for sure! Keep up the great work;)
