We eat here most weeks. The best chinese iv had anywhere! All freshly made sauces not mixes like most places. True there is no delivery service so get a taxi! The food is worth it!

Had the chance to sample some of their chips, which is exceptional ...all handcut! Would definitely recommend this place. Also would like to thank the owner for the great chat and travel advice while we were touring Scotland - especially to Applecross. Shall come back to visit and try some more food from your takeaway!

Delicious Chinese take away in Skye. Super speedy service and delicious dishes. We got the salt and pepper squid- best I've ever had. King Prawn cashew (delicious), black bean tofu and broccoli in ginger sauce and egg fried rice. Would recommend!

Very helpful server/owner with a slightly grumpy resting face..? I am not Scottish & found what he said/his Sino-Celt accent slightly difficult to catch fully. But I noticed that the local customers had no problems at all… I’ll be reviewing a hearing test centre soon, I suppose… Perfectly cooked takeaway fare, which was exactly what we fancied that evening. Portions are some 50% larger than ‘down south’?

Very tasty and well priced for the area. The food came out quickly. Our only issue was one of the people I'm traveling with has a nut allergy and we were told there is cross contamination in the kitchen so she was unable to order. Those of us that were able to order liked our dishes though.

Ended up here as all the other restaurants were fully booked on a Friday evening. We ordered mushroom fried rice, vegetables fried noodles and Singaporean fried rice. The portions were very generous and we could save almost half for breakfast the next day! Cash only establishment tho!

Ordered it on our way there because I read that local ordering is paid by cash. Done within 20 minutes. Great taste, generous portions. Great to bring back to our camping.

Decided to grab Chinese food takeaway as most of the restaurants were fully booked for the evening. Ordered: corn soup, fat panda special chow mien, fat panda special rice, shrimp omelette with chips, stir fry broccoli and deep fried chicken. Food were extremely hot and warm even when we reached back to our apartment. Noodle and rice comes with a lot of ingredient. If it’s for 2 would recommend just getting 3 dishes will do. Would recommend them to pack the chips separately from the omelette and it makes the chips soggy. Overall a very filling meal for 2. Value for money. Thumbs up!

We were staying at a B&B in Portree on the Isle of Skye on a Sunday night while on a 2 day tour, went into town and found restaurants were either all booked up or closed. By chance we found the Fat Panda Chinese takeaway was open and ordered our dinner there to take back to the B&B to eat. The food order was taken quickly, and food prepared for us also quickly. Back at the B&B I found Fat Panda had made the best Kung Pao Chicken I ever had (and I've eaten more than my share of Kung Pao) and my wife's noodle soup was also very good. Even if you can get into one of the Portree restaurants, consider an excellent Chinese meal from Fat Panda.

This is our second time in Skye and this is the second time we've ordered from the Fat Panda. The food is good and the portions were very fair. The food was very tasty and much needed after a long day of walking and exploring. We ordered online for a pick up, as this allowed to sit in a pub whilst our food was being prepared. You can pay by card, but the value of your order must be £15+.

Best Chinese food in Portree. Kung Pao has cashews — but it should have peanuts as tradition dictates. And the sauce is more like ketchup which is hardly a flavor that is traditionally Chinese. Also no chopsticks 🥢. Guess the Chinese food in Scotland is a bit less Chinese and more….Scottish? 🤷‍♂️ Super fast service!

I went here with the old owners and I must say it was much better then! But having said that I did enjoy my Chinese tonight! I ordered the new salt and pepper chicken balls which were great!! I will go again 👍

Easy order (including card payment) online. Our food was very good, especially the vegetables, not overcooked. Packing contains much plastic but is reusable for private use.

Fresh and tasty Chinese food to takeaway in the centre of Portree. I phoned ahead and the food was ready to collect quickly. Note that cash payment is preferred.
