Fantastic place for lunch, always worth the wait on the steps outside :). We've been coming for years now and staff and food is always the best. Food is homemade looking, warm, and fresh! Highly recommended! Worth a visit if you are around the Portree area!
This place was recommended by someone in Portree. Great coffee and food ( we had the croissant, scrambled egg and smoked salmon). Nice atmosphere and friendly staff. Would certainly go back and recommend to friends.
Great place, with a amazing menu - might have to wait for a table but it is so worth it - really friendly staff 👍
This place has a great atmosphere friendly staff and delicious home cooked style food and a good menu, The only bad thing I can remember is that there is a huge demand for seats so expect to cue at peak times. There is free wifi and the decor and layout of this place makes an excellent visit to Skye even better.
Lovely place. Nice view. Friendly service. Tasty food, coffee and desserts. The fish platter!
Everytime when I am on the Isle of Skye, I'm trying to have lunch at Cafe Arriba, as last Saturday. Again... great atmosphere, nice staff and great food. I only can highly recommend it. Looking forward to come back again.

Lovely place, really good atmosphere and a perfect location. Food is really nice and the staff is very friendly.
Lovely cafe with a great welcome for dogs! A bowl of water and a biscuit for wee Fidget! Food was great and the staff are too!
Great food, catered menu adjacent for my kid (made her a cheese sandwich) The pork taco's were amazing!!!
We love this place so much! We had a good breakfast with a great view and well coming atmosphere
Had a delicious lunch there. Pet friendly and made us very welcome with water a treat for our dog.
My favourite cafe, delicious food, genuinely nice staff, relaxed atmosphere.. sorted
love this place - always worth waiting on the stairs when it's busy! And they love dogs too!
Himself always gets just exactly the coffee he likes best!
Terrific food served all day long with some of the dreamiest views in the planet thrown in for free.
A very beautiful place near the potree Harbor. We ordered for a veg soup which was nicely done. The place looked quite full but with good hospitality and portion size dishes.
We mainly ate seafood in Skye, as we should - and gladly. But after climbing a mountain in a bright and sunny albeit chilly day, we needed some restorative fare - and somewhere open in the winter months to provide it. Luckily, we stumbled into this little gem of a place, cosy and friendly, which offered international comfort food in large portions - just what we needed. The cauliflower soup was amazing, as was the homemade bread that came with it. We had to share an order of Braised Pork Tacos, as it was massive - and massively tasty. Everything hit the spot. Full as we were, the dessert and baked goods array was so good looking, we simply could not leave without some lovely Banana-Muesli scones for the trip. Absolutely recommended.
The hot delicious food at this busy cafe almost made my rainy blues go away. The spiced pumpkin soup was delicious. The quinoa & aubergine hot salad was unlike any salad I have had before as it was so very delicious. Unexpected bits came up with breaded brie and courgettes. It was just great. You know it's a great cafe when they serve warm toasty fresh bread.
Well well well what do we have here in this obscure yet most beautiful part of this world !!! A small cafe serving food which does not look delicious but tastes absolutely yummy ! The jammy muffins and the scrambled eggs with salmon are highly recommended.
...finally we stumbled across a little cafe called Cafe Arriba which stands above a gift shop below. The narrow staircase is colourful and bright preparing you for the burst of colour that meets you when you step through to the cafe. The cafe can't house many people but that's comforting. The whole of the menu is written in chalk on a blackboard on one wall of the cafe, this is because I am told it is ever changing using local produce and Scottish suppliers.
Fantastic cafè!
The staff was welcoming and friendly. They let me start for a few hours as I replanned my trip.
They serve breakfast all day, and have a variety of lunch options.
The atmosphere is cozy and bright. Plenty of natural lighting, and excellent variety of plants.
I cannot recommend stopping here enough!
Very cute spot with pretty views if you can get to a window! It was quite busy when we came in, about a 10 minute wait. When we did get seated it was fairly quick to get our food but our drinks came a bit after the food instead of the other way around. The smoked salmon quiche was delicious and the Aztec hot choco had a delightful amount of spice.
Yummy, hearty food with a warm smile we went back twice! First a warm breakfast bagel 🥯 with scrambled egg 🥚 and smoked salmon, hot chocolate and a double espresso ☕️.
We had to wait in line when we came back for lunch. Super popular spot!
NB: Highly recommend their pulled pork.
Stopped off in Portree en route to catch the ferry from Uig and spied this cute little cafe for a spot of breakfast. I had the small breakfast where you can pick 5 items and a latte. Cleaned my plate! It was so good we stopped off here on our way back down to Fife. Bacon roll this time and equally good. The interior is bright and well decorated and the staff and really friendly. I love all the unique salt and pepper pot combinations across the different tables too. Highly recommend!
We had to wait a few minutes to get a table due to the popularity of the place. Good quick service customer care from the staff. The Scottish breakfast delicious and well presented plus ordered the hot chocolate to go with it. The place was very clean and a good view from the window over looking the sea.
Had to wait a bit to get a table but worth it. Really nice staff. Quick service. Really good food. Lots of vegetarian options. The vegetarian burger was amazing.
An eclectic restaurant with friendly staff and good food. I had the smoke salmon croissant and a rhubarb lemonade. The rest of us enjoyed their meals as well.
The food was amazing (the scones are fresh and delicious 😋)! The atmosphere was cozy and you can't top the view (make sure you sit by the window if possible). The staff is nice and the bathrooms are clean! Highly recommend 👌🏽
This is the cafe with the best Halloween 🎃 decoration I've seen. We found it by accident, but it made my day. Everything was perfect - from the atmosphere to the coffee and the food. Me and my wife both tried English/Scottish breakfast(The Big Breakfast Plate) and it was delicious ☕ 🍳. The coffee offerings were interesting and the coffee was very good. Everything was decorated beautifully, even the toilets 😁.
We popped in for lunch and this ended up being our favorite eating place in Portree. The atmosphere is so cheery and bright and I'm convinced we had the best seat in the house overlooking the harbor. Service was excellent and food was delicious. We both had the tuna and it hit the spot! I tore into my food and forgot to take a picture until it was almost gone!
Excellent service, food and atmosphere with beautiful harbour views
Would definately recommend
We started queuing for a table (it was raining) but another guest waved us over to share a table. Friendly uncomplicated atmosphere. The cake was good. Likewise the coffee although the milk on the cappuccino was a little too fluffy. Lovely views of the harbour , especially when the weather is playing up.
Amazing food and coffee with a lovely view! Really enjoyed the waffles, bacon & syrup and the cappuccino :) Service was stellar too.
Service and atmosphere were great. My partner thoroughly enjoyed the veggie breakfast. Smoked salmon scrambled egg bagel was okay. SIL enjoyed her small breakfast. Surprisingly good hot chocolate and green tea.
Not what you would expect. This is NOT a Mexican cafe. But the food is still delightful.
Amazing atmosphere and view at the see, have a great memory on having breakfest there on my birthday during our road trip 🙂
Vegetarian cafe, recommend by the staff at our air BnB, seem like a place local would visit too. I had veggie Mac cheese with haggis - great to finally try some haggis!!! And a veggie burger and chips, the burger was a little dry. The menu is limited and on the wall written with chalk. The coffee is good. Seating is limited and u might have to queue for a seat. Seems like a very popular spot to eat.
Very special and lovely place, dog friendly, food good nice place to relax.
