Cuchullin Restaurant - Portree - Photo album

We had a very lovely dinning experience at this restaurant. We tried the salmon with the noodles, the burger and the scallop risotto. For me the scallops were the best dish. Really worth the price as the portion was very generous and it was perfectly cooked. We also got the soup of the day, which wa
The fish for fish and chips was fresh but it was not cooked as well as the good restaurants in England. The seafood platter is the signature dish and is the best food in the restaurant, as the seafood was very fresh. The burger's bread was slightly over toasted. Service of the staff was great and at
Fresh seafood and elegant dishes in the center of Portree. Prices were relatively high for the quantity and quality of food. I would highly recommend the Salmon dish, it was delicious (although I would have preferred more on the plate). Overall, a good eatery in Portree for a nice luxurious night ou
Friendly and hard working girls in this restaurant. Food is good and the price okay. Very happy I've found it. All the others were fully booked but this one didn't accept reservations apparently. The queue outside when I left is the proof how popular it is.
Went to this restaurant for a fish dinner yesterday evening. Line up and cannot call in and reserve a table. Staff courteous and extremely nice. Being a fish restaurant there was a lot of fish smell. Food was good salmon on a bed of noodles was nice with a side of salad. Must go to place.
Must try the seafood platter. I would say the fish and chip is average. The seafood platter is nicely done and very fresh. Highly recommended. The place does not offer reservations, so please queue before opening hours. It has high chair , however limited toddler menu. We love the Scottish music and
Delicious and fresh seafood, perfect for seafood lovers. The mussels were a bit sandy at times, but overall a great experience. Their scallops were tender, my company especially loved the surf and turf special with scallops! The risotto was also exceptional. The daily soup however, did not taste st
Had to wait about an hour to get in on a Saturday night. The fish and chips I can definitely recommend, while the Scottish cheese platter is definite no-go - it's just 3 pieces of cheese and some extra fruits for 12 pounds, hardly seemed worth it. Service was not great, the servers were struggling t
Really good food and very nice staff. We got lucky with this place. We arrived in town at around 7:30pm and checked into our B&B so we didn't get to go grab something to eat until around 8pm. Every other restaurant was booked and wouldn't even consider seating us. When we got to this place there wer
Very popular restaurant offering great food in this small town. Reservation is strongly recommended. We didn't make reservations, and they are fully booked, so they advised us to come back half hour later. No guarantee though. We tried again, and they really got a table for 2. Thanks! We ordered the
Great seafood platter and mussels. The restaurant is quite popular so we waited around 30 mins to get seated for our lunch. Worth the wait as everyone had a satisfied meal.
This is the one restaurant to go to in Portree if you only can have one dinner. Go early as it tends to fill up quite quickly. The mussels tasted really fresh, without the frozen stale taste. Get the seafood platter, it’s worth it. The scallops were amazing too. The fish and chips however, wasn’t re
Excellent food and service! We tried the seafood platter and it didn't disappoint. It was huge! It feeds 3 people. Just amazing!
Great food, nice atmosphere. Best fish and chips we’ve ever had! Highly highly recommend the salmon and the fish & chips! Staff were very friendly and quick to serve us.
Recommended by one of the local residents for its sea food we went to this place. Locals prefer this place over the other most popular seafood restaurant that pops out on google maps. Menu is very limited however good. Service is a tad slow however the air for the food is justified. Tried out some l
Busy spot, no reservations so might need to wait. The door was left open for people queuing so can get quite chilly inside. Scallops with black pudding were very good. Venison burger also good!
A nice place to sit after a long day of touring. The service staff could use a bit of hospitality training and perhaps a more organized system for queueing would help guests feel more welcomed. The seafood is recommended. But please, Cuchullin, take the beards off of your mussels!! It’s just bein
After a day-tour, a dinner at Cuchullin is a must! Of course, if you can find a table :-) But we were lucky and waited only for 10-15 min (we were there at ~17:50) - there’s such a huge demand, just imagine there are more than a million tourists that this small town has to accommodate in a year… any
Queued up for 45min for this restaurant and it was totally worth it. They don't take reservations and its first come first serve. We had the soup of the day (potato and leek) salmon, mussels and sticky toffee pudding as dessert. All dishes were great. Service was suberp and we had a great time.
