Best food we had in Skye. I loved everything about it. Great service and a wonderful place to relax after sight seeing all around. No pretentiousness - just fantastic food and a great atmosphere. Seriously - stop in, you get 5 star presentation while being totally embraced in your casual gear. This place set the bar for our entire trip around Scotland and it was never matched. I got the duck with Haggis Bonbon - best decision ever.

Great hotel, perfect accomodation, friendly personell. The Merchant bar is a very nice pub with a great beer and whisky selection. The restaurant was simply sublime. This was food heaven. I would recommend the Bosville to all my friends.

Brilliant stay! Room was lovely and big, very clean and modern. It was a little cold when we arrived but they heavy duvet made up for it. We didn't eat here as the menu was a bit fancy for us real shame you don't cater to the less fancy people. Even maybe having a steak or chicken option?? Breakfast was great though.... full Scottish plus cereals toast and pastries.... the best part of it by far Thanks for a nice stay! x

This place was difficult to get into as we were turned away our first night in Portree when we attempted to dine there without a reservation. We didn't give up and made a reservation the next night and it didn't disappoint! Everything was excellent especially the outstanding dessert. Nice memory of Skye, Potree!

Superb. Great wee bar - excellent choice of beers; keg and bottles. Also plenty of good gins and well chosen whiskies. Reception staff friendly, efficient and helpful. Restaurant - superb. Meerlust Chardonnay by the glass . Food easily Michelin Bib standard. Service very good too. Rooms - functional, big comfy beds, proper shower - loved the place. And it's not expensive

Wonderful comfortable hotel with friendly staff over looking the bay. The restaurant was a bit too a la carte for my liking but the inclusive breakfast was lovely. Cosy old bar/pub area

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal. The staff were really nice and attentive, but the stand out was the main course of Duck, just delicious.

The staff was nice but nothing much. We waited a bit long for the food, over 30 minutes. The food was delicious though, try the fish and the bread with butter- just amazing. Make a reservation, as they are busy.

Exceptional dining experience! The staff were incredibly welcoming and the food was nothing short of delicious. Unfortunately, they seated us near the door for breakfast while everyone else enjoyed the cozier inner parts of the restaurant. It took 10 minutes before we were asked what we'd like to drink, and the coffee came without milk. It was another 15-20 minutes before the hot food arrived. However, the food itself was truly excellent. #GreatFood #ServiceCouldImprove"

Best food in Scotland thus far. We very much enjoyed the soup of the day (carrot), the smoked fish platter (starter) was incredible, the fish of the day (herring) was also wonderful as was the dessert (lemon cream). Our friendly young waiter made the night perfect.

This would be a 4.5 for me. NEED to have reservations! Period. Great, attentive staff! Just know that the menu is seafood heavy. My wife doesn’t eat so just make sure to look at the menu. We had gammon and lamb burger. It was out super fast and hot. Great upscale atmosphere. Music didn’t match decor though. Great job!

Reserved a table online. We really enjoyed the seafood platter as an appetizer. Our main dishes were very tasty. Down side was the lack of service. No mention of today’s specials. Wait staff didn’t stop by at our table after receiving the food. No check in and it was tough to flag someone down for the check and pay the bill. Would’ve ordered another beer and dessert if the service existed.

Great location, atmosphere. Bread was delicious. Scallops were tasty (2 in a portion). Vegetarian Risotto was hearty in taste and portion size. Husband got the ribeye special, overall good but the meat was buried under salad and various accutromonts.

This was the best meal we had on Skye. The food was delicious. The service staff was working really hard and did outstanding even though they were understaffed that evening, but all in all a really pleasant experience. Make sure you make reservations ahead of time because they are very full!

You just make a reservation which we luckily did. Chris was wonderful- welcoming, funny and gave some great recommendations. The wait staff were nice as well. We did the duck confit 2 ways started as a meal and added a vegetable. The croquette was good but dry. My husband got the honey mustard glazed gammon - he said it was good. *I wish there were non-alcoholic options like 0% beer or mocktails.

I visited Skye for the Women Won't Wheesht event and enjoyed a beautiful meal in Dulse and Brose. I can recommend the Wild Mushroom Bruchetta and the Lamb Burger. I was delighted to find they'd a decent alcohol free beer in stock too. They could perhaps do with more staff as they were run off their feet, yet managed to remain friendly and attentive. Prices were reasonable and the food was quality. The view outside is stunning too.

Pretty good overall. Nothing amazing, just decent. Really cool interior. Right next to The merchant bar— pretty sure it’s run/owned by the same people. The bartender at merchant is also the bartender for Dulse, so drinks may take a while! Definitely need a reservation!
