The Rosedale Restaurant - Portree - Photo album

The staff was extremely polite and attentive, they always noticed quickly when we were finished and asked several times if we wanted anything else. They also recommended some dishes and introduced them nicely. They also supported us in the decision if any sides are necessary or not. And the portions
Nice little restaurant in Portree harbour. Very efficient server, and little waiting time for the food. We had the Salmon Gravlax which was nice but not extraordinary and the Seafood chowder which was quite enjoyable. As mains we had the chicken, which was a huge portion almost good to feed two peo
Four stars for service is solely a reflection of their limited staffing, a global problem, so take with a grain of salt. Very limited menu but everything on it was excellent. We stayed three days so sampled most of it. Fish and chips is a standout in a country famed for the dish. Peter is old-school
Beautiful resturant. Got a table with the water view during dinner. Gorgeous view, amazing service, and lovely dinner. Everything was so fresh and tasty! Appetizers: scallops; cauliflower and artichokes Entrees: hake risotto; venison; salmon Dessert: sticky toffee pudding; highland cheeses
Fabulous dinner with a starter of Skye foraged mushrooms on toast and mains of Scottish Hake on a bed of risotto followed by mind blowing sticky toffee pudding. Excellent service and decent prices. Had a Skye Black beer which was excellent
We had a starter and then the seafood linguini and the fish and chips. Service was great, food was ok, its rather expensive but has a lovely view looking over portree port.
Got the hake fish risotto and the monkfish special. Both delicious and seemed fresh. Good view by the lakeside. Then got the highland cheeses with chutney - cheddar, blue and brie cheese selections. Would recommend booking ahead of time on their website.
After a couple of dinners I would like to point out this restaurant for its high happiness / price ratio. Excellent raw materials treated with care by a capable chef. A brilliant and empathetic maƮtre and a location overlooking the bay does the rest. Appropriate price. Easy booking. A ray of sun
Really loved the monkfish here! The pea veloute on the bottom works perfectly with the fish - every bite was amazing. We also got the highland cheeses for dessert and got to try cheddar, brie and blue cheese. Overall great experience, though pricy.
A very talented chef is turning ordinary dishes into something special. The flavours are strong and may not appeal those who prefer more traditional food, but went far beyond my expectations. When we visited the cod was being served in a Thai style and to Michelin standard. It's a hotel, so the atmo
Hidden gem in Skye. Menu is limited to only 3 choices per course, but the dishes are beautifully presented, well balanced and perfectly cooked. It is epitomy of modern cooking and Michelin star worthy without breaking a hole in your pocket. The roasted pork belly, pan fried chicken with corn puree a
Delicious Scottish food in a spacious restaurant with view on the harbour. We had a perfect dinner and will come back! We hadn't booked in advance but luckily they had a free table and were happy to welcome us last minute :)
Really delicious scallops and seafood chowder starters. The hake risotto was really cooked well. And the stick toffee pudding was nicely complemented with salted caramel, nice ice cream, moist and not too sweet.
Breakfast out of this world. Dinner very good. Rooms and communal areas very clean and well appointed. Very good overall 9/10 Will be back very soon.
Delicious food with a gorgeous view! Only a short walk from Portree Hotel where we stayed.
Three servers and one at attention at all times means great service. Never had to ask as someone was always ready to help. Had no reservation but the front desk let me sneak up and I was seated at a window seat. Beautiful view of the bay and anchored boats from window. Children skipping stones. Samp
As an amateur cook, I have a high opinion of this dish. First of all, the monkfish in the monkfish braised rice is very well integrated into the rice. The scallops are also perfectly cooked. In addition, the addition of fried rice slices takes the surprise and wow of the dish to a new level.
Delicate and balanced dishes are served up by the friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very enjoyable meal all around. Make sure to book in advance to reserve a table.
Very nice food. Good service. But all Restaurants should have at least table sets to change. However a table cloth would be more hygienic than a wooden table cleaned with indefinable spray and cleaning cloth. Especially in these times.
