One of those quaint Skye restaurants that are operated by sole proprietors. Excellent local farm to table cuisine. Reservations a must. Fabulous epicurean experience.

We have often found tasting menu experiences overly long. Too many places that offer tasting menus design their food to be technically clever, rather than satisfying the motivation to eat in the first place. I appreciate that our enjoyment of food has a huge amount to do with our ‘appetite’ in the moment. How we feel, our mood, affecting how receptive we are to the restaurant’s efforts. So, maybe we went to this cosy, welcoming restaurant in a good mood, but we found the food both delicious and memorable. (So much so I forgot to take photos of the two most successful courses…) I had never had hake served so tastily, and with a chicken broth! Venison, rolled in coffee (…?) was surprisingly tender and the cheese course was a novel success. If how memorable a dinner is, is a measure of its quality, then Scorrybreac deserves all of its Michelin accolades.

What an amazingly exceptional restaurant located in remote Scotland! I’ve been to my fair share of Michelin listed restaurants and this rises very high on that list. From the exceptionally perfect service to the beautiful location to the world class tasting menu - it hits it out of the park. These dishes don’t just look good, they taste amazing as well and each bite makes you want to try more. They are also VERY accommodating to requests - it’s a seafood heavy menu but my dining partner doesn’t eat Seafood and they were willing to swap things around with notice. That just doesn’t happen in most high end tasting menu environments.

Easily one of the best dining experiences we’ve had in a long time, Scorrybreac offers delightful, creative, and filling dishes. Some favorites from our meal were the lamb, cod, and venison. The service was good and the space was charming and intimate. This spot needs to be at the top of your list while you’re in Skye. TL;DR - Worth every penny, you better go!

Lovely dinner at Scorrybreac. Food was excellent and we enjoyed every dish at this place. Very well done. We would return in a heartbeat. The place is also lovely from the inside. Very stylish and certainly a big add on to Portree. It is probably not so easy to get good staff in such a place or especially Isle of Skye and this is the only criticism that we had. The staff needs a bit more training and the service at times felt a little bit stressed, especially in the beginning it seemed quite hectic. Also the wine list could be slightly bigger for a place like this. Overall a very nice experience though. Well done.

Had a wonderful dinner at this very charming restaurant. Couldn’t fault it even if the service was a bit slow from the kitchen. We had plenty of time as we were on holiday and we had exquisite food served by a very professional and welcoming team

Enjoyed an outstanding and memorable meal here. The locally sourced ingredients were put together with heart ,creativity and joy. Beautifully presented and perfectly made in a modern style that also considered the ancient landscape the restaurant sat in. The service was excellent, knowledgeable and delightful. Do go. but book in advance.

I have to start by writing that they did a great job of catering to my food allergies for the tasting menu, so thank you. The starters were amazing as well as the dessert combinations. Combining flavors that are not conventionally placed together or even found elsewhere in general was their forte. The only reason they get 4 stars really is because we can do a better short rib at home (by following an online recipe) and since this was the entree I was looking most forward to, it was very disappointing. Also, they didn’t have any cocktails or mocktails even so a little variety on this would be nice. Overall, a lovely tasting menu with carefully curated ingredients in a wonderful location by the water (but no view)

Not just the best meal we had in Scotland, this was one of our favorite meals ever! As good or better than any Michelin-starred place we’ve been. The food was creative, beautiful, and, most importantly, insanely delicious. I wish I could eat it all again! We also loved the cozy interior and the very friendly staff. Hope to be back someday!

It’s hard to describe this so we will call it a fine and informative dining experience with a touch of class and a whole lot of fun. Our primary server, Nicki, made this evening extra special with her explanations of what we were eating. The vegetarian option was so similar to the standard fare so all four of us were delighted! One of us did the wine pairing and if we were to go again (hope we do) we would choose that option. Book your reservation well in advance of your visit to Portree. ENJOY

We love tasting menus and dining, in general. This was at the top, if not the top, place we've ever been. Booking, service, and food were all superb. Even accommodating my dietary restrictions was done flawlessly with no fuss. If visiting Portree, you must get a reservation for this spot! Actually, maybe visit Portree for this restaurant. Just lovely - thank you! (a few pictures included but not all 7/8 courses)
