We hadn't booked, just walked in and asked if they had a table. The waitress was really nice and made sure we were comfortable when she opened the window because it was such a hot day. The food was not only beautiful but absolutely delicious. Portpatrick is a beautiful little place and this restaurant is it's crowning glory. We had the fruit platter and patè to start. For mains we opted for the duck with beetroot purée and red wine jus, and the lamb breast with couscous with skin on fries. Absolutely beautifully cooked and so much flavour. When it came to dessert we weren't sure we'd manage one each, the waitress kindly offered two spoons so we accepted and had the poached caramel pear which was just absolutely wonderful.

Perfectly cooked fish combined with a crisp panko coating and a lovely sauce. Been far too long since I last enjoyed a fish dish this much. Add in the friendly staff and sensible pricing and it's a winner. Hopefully will come back (and see a few more veggie options).

Delightful late lunch from the special 2 or 3 course menu, but light bites menu also looked amazing. Food was very tasty, and well presented, with good portion size. Would recommend and will definitely return when next in the area.

A lovely restaurant with a gorgeous view. We went there & ate of the Sunday lunch menu which was extremely good value for money. The main (I had pheasant) was phenomenal, especially the sauce it came with. I would highly recommend.

We absolutely loved eating here in the summer. We sat outside and enjoyed the view whilst ticking into a freshly caught light lunch. Have craved a return visit since returning home.

This is a hidden gem, the food is delicious and presented beautifully and the prices are fair for what you get. We were a table of 8 and not one complaint from any of us, we would definitely recommend.
