We love love love this pub! The welcome we've received, the food we've eaten and the friends we've made! Mark, his team and the local clientele make it a very special place and we will definitely miss it and most certainly be back.

Our food was amazing - thought a warmed crusty brown bread roll instead of a slice of bread would have made an already great meal better ... but am sure delivery logistics are challenging staff were friendly and helpful and was a great experience in a picturesque working Cornish fishing village ...

Were great with allergies for my family. Lovely service, and the food was sublime. Best pub cheese burger I've had!

One of the best Sunday roasts on the Roseland ( and we’ve tried most of them!)

The Ship Inn in Portloe is a real gem among the pubs in Cornwall and on the South West Coast Path - a place for you to make yourself feel at home. They serve hearty pub-classics, a fixture on the menu are burgers and fish & chips that I can recommend. Service is very friendly. Rooms are cosy and comfortable. Would definitely come back.

Lovely local pub, very friendly welcome from the landlord (the banter flowed effortlessly), well kept beer (Tribute was delicious) and the food was simple but done well. The batter on the fish was light and crisp, portions were generous and the tartare sauce home made. The beer garden is very pretty with the wonderful bubbling sound of a stream making the setting serene. Well worth a visit if you are at the nearby Veryan camp site.

Fantastic pub. Food is very well priced for such generous portions. Staff are brilliant and host a great quiz on Wednesday evenings! Definitely recommend if you're in the area

We spent way more time in here than we planned. Lorraine "The Wife" lol is an absolute gem. We were made to feel so welcome by her and the boys. Good vibes and nice atmosphere with friendly locals and regulars. Proper pub experience. And the food and beer is top too.

This is a real gem in a beautiful spot. On holiday and feeling hesitant about eating out (I can't eat gluten and we had our dog with us), we happened to pass outside the Ship Inn. So pleased we did. What a warm welcome from Lorraine! She pointed out the gluten free menu options and our dog, being well-behaved and on a lead, was welcome inside. What a treat! We ordered ham, egg and chips for me and fish and chips for hubby. Both meals were delicious. Really tasty. And even our dog Tess had a biscuit treat or two. Curry night on a Monday and Quiz night on Wednesday. Both really popular so reservation may be advisable. Thank you for a lovely meal and such a warm welcome!

The food was lovely. We were a group of 8 and all had a range of food of the menu, and all the meals were very tasty. The food came out all together and was still very warm. The staff were very friendly and made us feel so welcome even thou we were not locals. Even the locals were very friendly. As I have a child with tourettes we did call when booking and warned them. They made her feel so welcome, so would recommend to anyone with a child with the same.

Only stopped for a spot of lunch but lovely nevertheless - freshly made and nicely presented. Lovely people - very welcoming. The whole place was spotless. Will be back around Halloween to see the decorations!!

Chilled out place after a long hike along the coastline. Recommended. Portions large enough to fill up hungry teenagers, and the cold Rattler cider slides down easily. Good selection of drinks available.
