Wow. What a gem. It has only been open for 2 weeks and already it's a hub of the community. With a range of options from breakfasts to beautiful cheese cake this place is amazing. If you are lucky you can watch 'milking time' live (approximately 3.30) through a viewing gallery. There is a separate small soft play area for small children and a large farm shop. What is impressive is the range of local produce stocked. Well done and I can't wait to sample more of the tin coos yummy goodness.
Haven't been to the Tin Coo yet but I can definitely recommend their produce. Picked this up at our local farmers market in Huntly. I really love good cheese and have tried literally hundreds of different varieties from across the world and this is one of the best. Its strong and flavorsome with a great texture too. Makes me think of a cross between Black sticks Blue and Roquefort but dryer. 10 out of 10. We look forward to visiting soon.
Great place to take the kids. A small soft play area and a great cafe, with Windows where you can watch the cows being milked great fun for the kids.
Lovely meal today, fab service and lovely staff. Cant wait to visit again
The food was excellent, the staff were extremely helpful, attentive and polite. This is a wee gem of a place and the viewing gallery window to watch the cows being milked was definitely interesting, educational the kids loved it of all ages as did the adults. The farm shop has a great range of cheeses and other products needless to say we bought quite a few things. We will definitely be back.
Brilliant food and prices with chance to see cows getting milked through window in the cafe at 4pm. They also serve an afternoon tea for £12.95pp. Also have a mini farm and there were really cute piglets. Indoor play unit for toddlers too. Great outing and recommended.
This authentic (working farm) cafe was such surprise!
Those folk who wrote negative reviews should only ever eat out at Harrods!
The cafe was clean, staff were wonderful, food very tasty and well presented....
A must is the home made cheesecake with their very own ice cream!!
At 4pm you can watch the cows being milked from the cafe (through the window barrier)
What an amazing experience for those who have never been in a cowshed before!
There is a well designed play area for children and am animal petting area.
For the cheese lovers - a walk through the cheese factory - AND you can buy their produce from the cafe.
For a real treat, order in advance for the afternoon tea.... WOW it was awesome!
Well done team at the Tin Coo Cafe, I will sing your praises too all I meet.

Fantastic food! Great atmosphere. Good produce on sale. The soft play and outdoor play area for the wee ones is a really nice touch, and the animals are very friendly. Would definitely recommend a visit, we will be back.
Great cheese cake, and the view of the milking parlour at the 4pm milking war a great novelty. The value of their cheese, sausages, etc. is really good. Well worth going seeking out this farm shop. They even have a kids soft play area.
I almost regret reviewing this place, cause it has been such a hidden gem for us. A cafe with soft play that isn't heaving with kids is hard to find these days, but the Tin Coo deserve every star. The play area is often quite clean and as I mentioned on the qiet side, though it is starting to show signs of wear. Coffee is good but the cheese cake takes the win, every flavour just as tasty as the next. We like to use a visit to the "TC" as a reward for our toddler's success chart, works a treat
I loved our trip to the Devenick Dairy last Saturday, despite the rain. There were some pigs we could cuddle, cows with their calves, and some goats too (we couldn't cuddle these). The farm cafe served freshly made cheesecakes and they must have been one of the best ones I've ever tried. I had a white chocolate and berry one, my partner went for a fudge one. Nice strong coffee too. Ah, and you could watch milking the cows in the cafe at 4pm if you were lucky enough to sit by the window. Definitely recommended.
Friendly staff and tasty food, however the portion sizes aren't large it seems. Small indoor soft play area for young kids and a cafe with views into the milking shed to watch the cows get milked! Local produce available in the shop too.
Fabulous cheese and oatcakes. We went to Banchory Farmers Market today and had a nice chat to the men on the stall from the Devenick Dairy. We bought three cheese pieces and some Blue Cheese Oatcakes. We have just finished our afternoon snack of oatcakes and Badenboy Blue cheese and it was fantastic. The cheese is great (as as the others we tasted and bought) and the oatcakes are very light and tasty. We will be visiting the stall again and also the shop next time we are in the area.
Lovely place with soft play and nice outdoor area with animals and toy tractors. Very tasty cakes too. Highly recommended.
Highly recommend the cheese board on its own merits, it's a selection of their own cheeses and for what you pay you get a lot of cheese :) if you time it right you can watch the cows getting milked. It's a new place so service a bit hit or miss, but I'm sure it will settle down over time. It also has a great selection of local produce including fresh meats, vegetables and soft fruit.
Very nice food, especially the cheesecake! The only criticism is the coffee was not hot enough, apart from that, good for kids education as shows the milking parlour adjacent to the restaurant.
Fine will be back loved the food and the shop
