A pub with character! ❤️ I walked in and met Vic, a true gentleman who’s 80 years old and runs the pub since 1973, when he started building it with his ownhands. He runs it with his wife Debbie since then. The pictures on the wall, old photos, ship ornaments, relics, and just everything speak for th
Quiet good old fashioned pub. Good beer. Amazing view. Never busy. Plenty of room, and enormous car park. The publican, mine host Vic, is a local legend. You can't visit Portishead without visiting this pub. It is an experience.
fun place to spend a few hours with food and drinks.
Stunning. Just go there. They don’t make ‘em like this no more!
Real pub, Clean. Friendly knowledgeable Landlord who's been running it for years. Fantastic sea views, the food is good value for money. Steak chips & peas £9.50p :) well kept bar. Award winning gardens, great place to sit outside in the summer. Ideal spot to enjoy a pint after a coastal walk. I'l
Very old school. Don't expect up to the minute decor or an extensive menu. This is not a theme pub, it's not dressed up to be something it's not. It's a good, honest pub where you will get a pint that's as good as you'll get anywhere.
Food served lunchtime only.
Big car park.
Stunning views over th
Great, traditional pub. Very knowledgeable landlord so if you want to learn about local history it's worth a visit. Children are welcome to sit outside only (so not inside) so, if like me, you want a quiet drink this is your pub.
I quite liked this pub. Old fashioned interior decor and landlord. Drinks were good value and decent. Seating was comfortable, outside seating area is pleasant. Bar snacks are good. The landlady was slightly moody when I asked when closing time was. Again take cash as he doesn't accept card(fair eno
This is a local pub beyond compare. I love it here with friendly staff and local customers. Excellent facilities and views across the Bristol Channel
It's a good honest pub with good views of the Bristol Channel and lots of parking.

This is an old traditional English pub with a beautiful view
Found the Ship purely by chance. The gods must have been smiling upon us last Thursday! Not only was The Ship a delight, But the weather was amazing and we sat outside with the dogs(very welcome with plenty of fresh water). Beautifully presented pub, but has managed to keep the feel of a REAL local.
Very tidy gardens with outside tables and chairs with views of the Bristol channel. Somewhat limited opening hours and limited food menu only available at lunch time. I understand that mobile phones are frowned upon and children are not allowed but cannot confirm this is true.
Pleasant landlady and
Great food, great value, great atmosphere, great view, great landlord Vic. A 5 star stop off highly recommend.
