Simple down to earth good English food. They might not have a business degree but they ve been there for years and the food is great. Can't wait to try the Sunday roast that so many people have recommended!

I have always loved coming to the corner cafe for the last 13 years. It really is a lovely little cafe with amazing staff, great tasting food and a lovely little view of the high street. The owner Jim is incredible and such a friendly, kind and hard working man. He always makes me smile when I go in and I know I'm not the only one. The cafe has vegetarian, vegan and gluten free options of food. The prices are amazing and the portion sizes even greater. There is a toilet on site within the store to the right of the seating area. They accept both cards and cash. You can also get your food delivered or ring through and order your food in advance. They do exceptional cooked breakfasts with all different options to tailor it to your preferences. They also do the biggest, tastiest Sunday Roasts with a meat of your choice and a large range of different vegetables. Please ring in advance to avoid disappointment as it does get busy around lunch time. There isn't much parking on site being on the main high street, so I would advise parking on the side street off the cafe, a little up the road as it can get a little too busy near the junction. There are no permits to say you cannot park there however be mindful you are not blocking a driveway or entrance. Condiments are to the right of the till area and there is a local premium off-licence store next door to the cafe. This is a gorgeous little cafe in a great location, with great tasting food and the staff to match.

Great little cafe with friendly and helpful staff. The mega fry is exactly what it says it is. A mega task to finish it all. You won't leave here feeling hungry.

Proper old fashioned cafe! Lovely staff and a great mug of good strong tea! Traditional english food- fancy mixing with the locals over a good old english fry-up, then this is the place for you!

Perfectly quintessential, a traditional British breakfast Cafe. Providing really great value for money & a hearty, flavoursome full English breakfast that is guaranteed to keep you going all day and more. A classic, quality establishement that truley reflects the world famous breakfast standard of the United kingdom. Pretty hard to stumble upon these days!

Fantastic customer service. I made a mistake ordering online (I ordered for a week later by accident), went into the shop to explain my error and they were beyond helpful and understanding. I missed the cut-off point for breakfast, but they offered me a roast dinner instead! Both the food and the staff were lovely. They even calculated that I had overpaid and emailed me that same evening to offer me a partial refund. They also explained, in detail, where and why I went wrong ordering online. All in all a fantastic place with fantastic food and staff. Thank you xx

Excellent place for a hearty breakfast. We do a work order occasionally on weekends where usually comes to close to £100. Never an issue and never any complaints! Really nice owners and staff. HUGE breakfast on offer that only 1 person has ever finished!! Good luck!

Your classic work mans cafe . Good value breakfast with about 6 tables . Good selection of food available for lunch and a cuppa for 70p .. No frills but tidy and good service. About 5 min walk away from main shops . As the name says on a corner with Garage opposite same side of road

Corner cafe is the best local cafe in portishead! Very personal service, just call the number and they will take your order and send you a link to pay for it via text. Super easy and cheap delivery. I always order a standard breakfast with extra hash browns and they do gluten-free toast too! It’s very affordable and very tasty! Delivery is faster than pretty much anywhere else too. Feels good to support a local business!

Good quality no frills cafés are hard to find these days. A decent fried breakfast with flavour, bacon that has taken on seasoning from the pan, eggs cooked with runny yolks but the film of white over the yolk is also cooked, mushrooms that actually taste of mushroom, hash brown that has been cooked well through and still moist, beans with a reduced sauce, proper black pudding cooked with care and attention, bread toasted or fried, tinned tomatoes without a pool of liquid. I've known of this Café for over 20 years and have stopped at it most times I've worked in Portishead which is not often enough. My heart was gladened today at the service and the quality of my fry up, the set breakfast altered happily, I prefer no sausages and extra eggs. I wished I had the opportunity to stop here more often, the care taken here in the preparation of my large breakfast today far exceeded the average. If you hanker for the fry ups of old minus the fog of cigarette smoke of days gone by I urge you to try this place, in fact, I'm going back there tomorrow on my day off, I saw a hand written sign advertising 'Jims bread and butter pudding'.
