Lovely food! Great atmosphere. Would recommend if your down this way but I would suggest to book in advance as we did and couldn't get a table until a little later than planned.

Hard to fault the Windmill Inn. It is a large bar and restaurant split over three levels and outdoor terrace with outstanding views of the Portishead coast, 2nd Severn Crossing and the coast of Wales. Friendly dogs all around! Polite staff and lovely service. Tasty, filling and fresh food that makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Quite an inclusive menu which is great! The atmosphere is very comforting and home-like. Very easy to sit down and relax while eating your food. Would recommend
Fabulous sitting place with a wonderful view of the river. Loved my butternut squash, ricotta and spinach pie. Service was fine. But our mixed grilled plate had tomatoes and mushrooms missing completely. They apologised, of course. Nice place to go, on the whole.
Lovely view over the channel through massive glass walls. Food is great but expensive comparing to other places in the area.
