The Black Horse - Portishead - Photo album

Lovely ancient pub with huge inglenook fireplace, two main rooms, beers on gravity and hand pump, real ciders. Good pub grub plus rolls, ploughman’s and chips as snacks. Outdoor spaces and large car park.
It'll have been said many times already, but the Black Horse is a truly rare pub these days. Friendly and traditional with a good selection of local brews. It's frequented by absolutely all sorts of people and everyone is welcome. We enjoyed it immensely as always.
historical pub, nice interior design and feeling like 19th century, if you want to experience traditional british pub worth visiting
Great pub lovely food nice quiet pub to visit will always use
Menu mainly consists of rolls/baguettes...there is a specials board, but both the lasagne and ham/egg/chips has run out by time we ordered. It gets busy & there is a wait for food. I would say this was mainly a drinking pub for people who love ale. Beautiful building & lots of history.
Stunning. Original English pub. Amazing atmosphere inside. Perfect place to take visiting relatives-particularly if from abroad.
Lovely place for a drink..haven't tried the food.,very small menu currently, mostly rolls &baguettes. Loads of tables inside in such acquaint building,as well as outside tables .
