Exceptional! A much needed addition to Portishead- beautiful place to stay, a few steps away from the marina with great food and warm hospitality. Highly recommend staying here!

For a corporate owned establishment (chef and brewer) it should be a jewel in their crown. Recently refurbished and a lovely job made. Staff all of them were exceptional. Smiley, helpful, personable and efficient. Food was pub grub style however of a good standard. Ample choices and good table service. Liked it so much we tried to book a second night but alas no rooms left, not surprised. We will definitely return ASAP.. room with a bath would have been good but shower was excellent and superbly decorated and quality fittings...

We have stopped here twice for drinks so far. It has been recently renovated and looks lovely both inside and out. The staff are friendly and they have a great drink selection. We have not eaten here yet, but we are planning an overnight stay to include Sunday lunch.

A group of five of us had an evening meal here. The food was fantastic and the staff were attentive. We did leave it a bit late so some of the choices were not available. However we still had a great experience. I had cod and chips. The batter was thin and crispy and the cod flaked into nice pieces. The apple tart was also very nice and the ice cream was full of flavour. The setting in a lovely heritage building which really stands out in its surroundings and you can see, care and attention that has been put into the rooms of the restaurant. I would definitely recommend!

Been done up beautifully. The garden and the views are lovely. It is missing patio heaters or an area with awnings though so you can stay in the garden when it rains. We also sat inside to eat. There was a great atmosphere and a good selection of food which was all well prepared. The staff are all very young and still learning, but polite, friendly and keen to learn. Only room for improvement was teaching the waiting staff not to just dump a bottle of wine on the table and walk off without opening it or making sure it's OK, but that was a minor thing and everything else was lovely.

I was staying in Portishead, on holiday from Friday 22/09/23 up to and including Tuesday 26/09/23. And dined here every evening. What a beautiful building, not just the outside, but the inside too. All the staff that served me during my time here were friendly, polite and knowledgeable. Even during the busy periods, Friday, Saturday and Sunday, service was quick and the food was amazing and fresh. And you didn't feel rushed either, while enjoying beautiful views across the estuary from the windows. I’m really hoping to have another holiday next year if I can, and would be very happy to return here again. I would, like to take this opportunity to thank all the staff that looked after me during my time here. Thank you. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Dog friendly, inviting pub all around! Polite staff and lovely service. Tasty, filling food that makes the experience all the more enjoyable. Quite an inclusive menu which is great! The atmosphere is very comforting and home-like. Very easy to sit down and relax while eating your food. Would recommend to all!

My first trip back since they have reopened and I am very pleased! The building itself has changed inside, for the better, and the new addition outside is great. The food was superb, a mushroom and ale pie, and a steak ciabatta cooked to perfection. Staff were lovely and friendly. The renovation of the outside terrace is beautiful. I'm looking forward to a Sunday lunch next time : )

This review is long overdue! Been coming here on a fairly regular basis since it opened. I have had a variety of meals .... from a cooked breakfast and a Sunday roast to name a few. Other than dry gammon (first week it opened) all the meals have been really good. Staff are amazing. Always so friendly polite and hardworking. Drinks are really reasonable...lovely bottle of wine is under £20 (compared to over £30 in some other places in Portishead) Decor is exquisite and tables at the end of the extension are the best although we have had one of the "private" dining rooms ( for 8 of us) which is perfect and means we can enjoy ourselves without annoying any one else! LoL. Wonderful garden and views (could do with some patio heaters/covered parts when weather is not so good) Already looking forward to our Christmas meal here on the 14th December.

First time visiting this place as I am not from the area, I was pleased with my experience. The pub looks recently done out and had a lovely vibe, the waiting staff were fantastic and went above and beyond. My only feedback would be the parsnips on the Sunday dinner were steamed or boiled... my personal opinion is that these should be oven cooked or fried. Lastly please inform customers that you do not take cash payment for food as this was not relayed until payment. Thanks for the beautiful meal and friendly service.
