Great dog friendly pub!
Food was delicious and well cooked. Reasonably priced for how good the food was and how much you got for the money!
Dog had a great time and enjoyed the treats and attention.
Only thing to say was wish there were a few more cider options but that's just being really picky!
Just called in for a pint. Dog friendly pub with low music levels so we could hear ourselves talking. Reasonable selection of gins and beers. They serve food, but as I've never eaten there I can't comment on quality. Every time we've been in though, the tables are booked up for meals.
Their beer garden is nice and we were able to find a table on a sunny Saturday afternoon when it was busy everywhere else. Prices are alright too. Not sure about their food as we didn't have any but I would recommend this for relaxed drinks.
Stopped off for a quick drink after a lovely walk from Keswick. We were greeted by a very friendly member of staff who was asking about our day. They have a large selection of guest beers on which were pulled really well. There's a small terraced outside area behind the pub where you can sit. Didn't
Great little village pub. Welcoming atmosphere, pleasant bar staff who were happy to put the rugby World Cup games on. Good choice of real ales, well kept and served well. Decent pub grub, hearty portion sizes and piping hot. Ideal spot for a few pints and hot meal after a day out walking.
As a solo traveller, the wonderful young barman treated me with respect and kindness. In addition, his level of service was superb. He was friendly and efficient and worked so hard. Oh yes, and the roast dinner was cracking and it's child and dog friendly. xx
Had a couple of nights at the pub, drinks first night and food with drinks on the second, food was good, drinks have a good selection of real ales, lager, and various gins. Good bar staff, good service and some banter. Traditional pub.
Lovely Chicken Ham & Leek Pie followed by Sticky Toffee Pudding.
Great pub, super barman Max. Beer great, sat in beer garden , quiet and in sunshine. Defo worth a visit
I ordered the cheese burger. Not expecting anything spectacular. The plate arrived. What a sight. A nice thick juicy beef burger, on a bed of salad, coated in cheese and bacon between two halves of a nice soft bun. Sided by a generous portion of fluffy chips and a side salad. One of the best burgers
If you look under the Oxford (not Webster’s) dictionary definition of quaint village pub you might find a picture of The Farmers Arms. What it lacks in broadband speed, it makes up in charm.
It is the antithesis of the Wetherspoon’s chain and should feature at the end, middle or beginning of a walk
Whats not to like. Very dog friendly, there were several dogs in when we arrived
Good beer and food, had the sunday roast, very good and plenty of it, really friendly atmosphere just what a local pub should be.
A great village pub with a reasonably priced menu. Very friendly staff, we were made to feel very welcome, and we were invited to their Halloween pub quiz that evening.
Really nice pub, friendly service, great views from the outdoor seating and my burger was excellent.
Lovely little pub with the most friendliest of welcomes from the Irish lad behind the bar, he is a real asset to the pub as first impressions always count. The food and beer were lovely and the new seating area outside is a great addition
Beautiful decor, Amazing atmosphere, the open Mic night was so lovely and authentic and the musician that came on were so brilliantly talented and just wanted to showcase their talent and entertain. I had a thoroughly entertaining and enjoyable evening, however, though the garlic bread it came with
Lovely laal quaint Cumbrian pub. Almost discarded it for our Saturday evening dinner because I couldn't easily find their menu or much information on the Google listing.
So glad we went in the end. Really nice food, nice selection of drinks behind the bar. Waited a little long for our mains but per
Having been to The Farmers Arms a few years ago and been unimpressed. It is a totally different place now, the menu is small but reasonably priced, the food itself was tasty and hearty. We went twice 😋
Serving an excellent shandy with good pub grub. The Hunters Chicken was lovely and accompanied by cheesy chips. More than enough to quench the thirst and appetite of any walker. Beer is kept well too.
