Called in for some stock exchange - decided to have a wee walk with the dogs and a bite to eat - well it was our night off from our pub. Enjoyed a lovely meal, made to feel welcome - dogs allowed which is a bonus for our 3! Doing a great job - keep up the good work!

We stayed locally recently it was a really nice pub in general. Very nice 'pub grub'. Friendly staff, and most importantly, value for money. The portions are exactly what you expect for the price you pay. Good beer too. We shall be back!

What a find! Great “proper” pub with such a great atmosphere. Only had a bowl of chips, but the food looked and smelt great! Guy behind the bar (think called Albert) was very friendly and hospitable. So impressed, we visited every evening of our 3 night stay at the nearby Newlands valley campsite! (Which is also great) Thanks very much, we will be back.

It's rare for me to give a 5 star review, however this place deserves much more than that. I have to be honest when I say that we were not initially planning on going there first. However, given that we needed something last minute, we decided to take a chance and check the Farmers Arms pub. First, the guy working there was more than friendly and that was immediately a reason for us to feel happy for choosing this place. Then the food... I have no words for how amazing my burger was. Juicy, well balanced, and just perfect overall. My partner had the vegetarian chicken pie and it was amazing as well. No matter what, find some space for dessert as the chocolate fudge cake was stellar. Next time in Keswick I'm sure I'll be back. It was a lovely surprise and I can't recommend this place enough.

Great dog friendly pub! Food was delicious and well cooked. Reasonably priced for how good the food was and how much you got for the money! Dog had a great time and enjoyed the treats and attention. Only thing to say was wish there were a few more cider options but that's just being really picky!

We had a lovely family meal here last week, there was 11 of us and we were able to order ahead and the food was all prepared fresh and everyone was very happy with there meals, very reasonable prices and good size portions. When we pre orders we made a few changes for example veg for salad, chips for mash and so on .. staff were happy to make changes and got all of our order correct. Happy helpful staff and service with a smile which is always nice xxx

Good traditional pub, serving generous portions of delicious food. The hunters chicken was fantastic, as was the gammon. Friendly service from Kyle, and a great sound track!

We came across the village having walked around Derwentwater and then looked up on Tripadvisor for a pub and found the Farmers Arms. We arrived around 3pm hoping for food but the kitchen was closed until 4:30pm. We received such a friendly welcome from the chap behind the bar that we thought we’d stay for a couple of pints anyway. We were still there when the kitchen opened so enjoyed some great quality food too. We are so glad we found this place and will definitely note it as somewhere to return to when in the area in the future. We were returning to Keswick after, which was a lovely 1 mile walk so would definitely recommend this pub as worth the walk for people staying there. A couple more barman/waiters came on shift while we were there and again were friendly and welcoming and a real credit to the place 😄. Oh and dog friendly!

I've been wanting to visit the farmers for quite some time and was staying in the village for a couple of nights. The first night was a letdown , for some reason, they were unable to serve food that evening. The second night however, food was available, I had the gammon and my wife, hunters chicken, both were excellent. I've heard people say " it's pub food", well I suppose it is - but it's good pub food. We'll definitely be back.
