I have been meaning to post something about this fab establishment in the 9 or so years since myself and my family first started coming. So here goes- better late than never! In spite of some of the reviews posted, this place has never changed. The food- breakfast, lunch and dinner - has always been delicious. The staff are brilliant and the location is just the best. It has and always will be (we hope!) part of our annual family holiday. �
Love it here. Whatever the weather it's always a great place to come. Day time or evening great food, friendly staff and if your lucky enough great place to watch the sunset.
It's a home from home. I recently married a Cornish lass who has embedded the Blue Bar as a must on every visit 😎 A good pint of Healeys and the Dirty Chips, the sunsets and great staff makes this one of the best locations in all of Cornwall 👍

We have been to Blue Bar numerous times and love it, yesterday was no exception. I had nachos and my husband had the dirty chips. It was the best guacamole I've ever tasted. The staff are friendly and it's great that we can take our dog in. The fireworks last night were amazing. Thanks, we'll be back xx

Amazing setting if its a lovely sunny day, not so sure on a cold wintery day. Me and my wife had an amazing chicken ciabatta bread with chips, and she still talks about it to this day how nice it was. Great view if you can get on the outside seating with the sun going down. Would highly recommend
A fantastic place to grab a drink and some food after a surf! Staff do a great job considering how busy the spot is. However, we have managed to get a table each evening and watch the sun go down with no problems! Highly recommend and keep up the great work Blue Bar Staff.
We stay in Porthtowan for a few days a frequented the place a few times for drinks and food. The staff were very welcoming and helpful. Good selection of drinks and food on offer. Great views and locations. Dog friendly and a great stop after a walk on the beach.

We were staying in town for four nights. Tried to get dinner at another place, was fully booked. After a quick walk we ended up here. And were pleasantly surprised.
Location couldn't be better. Right at the wonderful beach. Having dinner, some beers and watching the sun going down. Fantastic.
There are a good number of tables outside. Depending on the day it can get windy though.
Plenty of tables inside as well, some with great views as well. You order at the bar and the food and drinks will be brought to your table.
Staff was very friendly, food arrived pretty quick and prices are fair.
There are no reservations and the place is well visited. Even so, it wasn't a problem getting a table even on a weekend. Just a really short wait.
We were very happy on our first night, so came back two more times.
Had twice the Burger. Nice chips, good meat quality, nice flavour from the grill.
Had chicken tacos and fish tacos. Especially the chicken tacos were very nice. Fresh and filled with some nice crispy veggies. Also had a ciabatta chicken sandwich - ok, but not great. And a peperoni (salami) pizza, which was very good.
Sometimes wine, sometimes beer, sometimes some cider with the meals.
All in all it's easy beach-bar food. But it's fresh, it's well cooked and enjoyable. Together with the fantastic location I'd say it's the best place to grab dinner in town.
Nice sea view. Tasty tacos and nachos. The Buddha bowl is just ok.
We visit the blue Bar regularly and it is a fantastic place winter or summer almost on the beach with the most amazing views the food is fantastic highly recommend the nachos the service is superb with very friendly polite staff and a good selection of beers the coffee is great and definitely will continue to visit the blue Bar Porthtowan is a great place to go cheers, Vince,
This place is well situated and quite popular. We managed to get a table outside. We got two drinks and two cake slices with ice cream and a treat for our dog, came to about £20. The coffee was well presented and equally tasty. Cake and ice cream was lovely too. Service was quick and friendly.
Our table was really sticky, the waitress did try to give it a wipe down, but this made little difference. Perhaps someone had spilt something in the day, or the outside tables need a deep clean.
Not one to miss! I can't believe I've never been here before!!! Food was incredible, service was excellent, atmosphere was fun and relaxed, views are spectacular. What's not to love? We both had the vegan burgers and were not only thrilled with how nice it was but thrilled with the options available to us and at a very reasonable price. Couldn't be happier and will definitely be back
Great location just off the beach. Lots of room but does get busy. Food is great and so is the service. Only point would be that they could do with offering table service for the tables outside to make the experience that much better.

The centre of the local community and stunning views across the beach with lots of outside tables and window booths for when it gets cold. Excellent fish tacos, nachos and Buddha bowls, decent selection of beers and friendly staff. We ended up here at the end of most nights of our stay in the village
We have been eating at blue bar for over 5 years almost every Sunday and not once have we been disappointed. They provide amazing vegan options and put as much effort in the vegan dishes as the meat dishes. Can’t recommend it enough and with an incredible view of the beach, I would give this six stars if I could.
Love this place! Whether it's for breakfast, a quick coffee or pint in the day, or a evening meal it's always been good. Not to mention stunning views of the beach. Even out of season this place has plenty of customers, from what I have seen that is, so that speaks for itself I think.
Called here for our tea. Dirty fries to share and homemade burgers were excellent. Rattler on tap was also superb. We sat out and watched the sunset.
Dog friendly place which was taken up by a lot of the other customers too.

Amazing bar and cafe, visited a number of times over the past few years. The staff are amazing and very helpful. The mussels and Buddha bowl I had the other day was probably the best I’ve had the wife also had the same Buddha bowl. The kids all had burgers which I felt tasted better then a five guys burger. This is a true gem of a cafe/bar.
Amazing views from the terrace and from the tables inside. Food was really good and fair prices. Beach Parking is as usual in Cornwall, only coins and £6,60 all day, you can pay for less hours if you want. Free from 5pm
We’ve visited recently and had a yummy breakfast with a beautiful view! It’s dog friendly too which is a huge bonus.
