Had lunch in here, very nice cafe, good food, friendly staff, dog friendly with great outdoor seating. Food was delicious, hot and plentiful. Would recommend.
Our favourite cafe in Porthmadog and it’s dog friendly! 🐶 The full cooked breakfast was very tasty, generous and served all day!
The ham, egg and chips were absolutely delicious. The service was quick and friendly. I would highly recommend this cafe!
This is a Fabulous place. I have been coming to this establishment in it's various incarnations since 1978. The food is always good. Often excellent. There are cakes, sandwiches, Pies, pasties and my personal favourite the Breakfast. If you're ever in Porthmadog drop in and try it.
I visited twice over the a long weekend 30/31 October 2023 on the Sunday afternoon we had Coffee and Lemon Meringue Pie which was simply divine, the place is spotless and the staff extremely attentive. After such a positive experience my wife and I went in for breakfast on the Monday morning, we sat in the diner area, we were promptly served our drinks and our food arrived a little while after (cooked to order) it was perfect everything nice and hot. o wrap things of a member of staff boxed up a whole Lemon Meringue pie to take home it really is that good.
Next time I visit I fully intend to try the daily Roast dinner and I have a feeling it wont be to far in the future.
And amazingly this place is dog friendly another huge thumbs up from us
I went there to have some lunch which looked great from the front side, very busy with tons of choices from sandwiches to pastries or even huge dessert.
I hoped for the restaurant bit because there was more space to sit down but I was a bit put off when I was asked to sit on the other room in the back. It looked like totally different place with different style and more let down.
The menu was in this flimsy transparent container which screamed of cheap and probably never cleaned. It doesn't take much to buy a plastic machine, they cost just 20 gbp nowdays.... It would give much better impression.
I ordered my food and I would say service was 50/50 , not rude just a bit unkind but maybe is the Welsh way.
Food was allrigt, just wished they would offer the pastries selection as the one you can take away.
You only need to look at the queue out the door to know this place does good food, at good prices. Prepare to be amazed by the size of the lemon meringue pies (they're huge!). I only stopped by for a drink as it was too early for lunch on our coach tour when we visited. It was a very nice hot chocolate.
Nice little place, well situated, really nice staff and a lovely vibe. Good offerings for food. Tea was great, lots of coffee options and the hot chocolate that my friend ordered was a work of art. Definitely will be back. Place is 100% biker friendly, lots of areas to park nearby. Nice seating both inside and out.
Very good and friendly service. We went 2 mornings for breakfast. Very fresh and tasty food. The coffee was good too. Although we didn't have any other meals there , they offer a wide range of lovely looking sandwiches and pies . The cakes were very tempting and it was obviously very popular with the locals. I believe they offer a variety of cooked lunches also. Very good.
Excellent service. Really friendly staff. Lovely food although we only had bacon sandwiches. Same it came on sliced bread but probably my fault for not asking for it on a bap. Still, would go again. Only called in for a drink on the way home back to Yorkshire.
Wow the food! Great Deli and fabulous restaurant. Should you be in Porthmadog and you don’t pop in for a bite to eat you have missed out on some amazing food with fantastic service. Warm welcome every time Lemon Meringue pie is to die for. The Port breakfast is delicious The black pudding is tasty soft and the best I’ve had in some months. Their home made onion rings also not to be missed
