Highly recommended to see the history of railways and steam engine. Enjoy the ride on heritage railway line with a visit to Railway museum. There are plenty of things for kids to learn and experience about the history of railways and its evolution over time. Onsite cafe is also very good, served lo
We enjoyed a delicious tuna sandwich served with tasty side salad and ready salted crisps at Russell Cafe today. The service was friendly and efficient. Tea was plentiful in the pot. We also savoured a cake. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our visit to the WHHR . Nice little cafe with probably the biggest collection of railway books in the world in its shop , short train ride which stops about 3/4 mile for a nice heritage museum which was very interesting , alot of facts about the surrounding areas history with the
Good service and friendly staff. Food cooked fresh to order.
Russell Cafe, at the Welsh Highland Heritage Railway in Porthmadog, serves really good quality meals at very reasonable prices. We had our breakfast there and it was really well cooked and very tasty. You definitely won't come away feeling hungry. The cafe is very clean and the staff very friendly.
Amazing cafe. If you are ever in Porthmadog this is the place to go for lunch. My wife and I had a ham sandwich and cheese sandwich. Great portions with the ham full of flavour and the chutney that came with the cheese sandwich was delicious. We then had scones which were the best I have ever tasted
We bring the kids here every year. It's a must see on the holiday. You do approx 1 mile down the track, the kids help to change the points and then a short train ride to the museum. After a visit to the museum it's a short ride back to the station. It takes approximately 1 hour in total, but your ti
Delicious food, lovely friendly staff.
Cozy with very tasty food at reasonable prices.
Amazing little place well looked after by lovely people and always serving quality food and drinks. Licenced too so nice but small selection of beers. Excellent all round!
Brilliant little railway museum. Staff super friendly and very good value for money. Our son is train mad and he loved the train ride, all the things to do at the museum and best of all actually got to drive a diesel engine!
Excellent food and always a friendly welcome. The Bara Brith is particularly nice.
Good food at reasonable prices
Very nice staff. The service was a little slow, but that's understandable considering there was a mass of people there. The menu was fairly priced and had a wide range of options for any lunch. Sandwiches, baps and chips. They did a wonderful chocolate milkshake. It's certainly well worth a visit i
Friendly atmosphere serving range of well prepared classic light meals. Worth a visit.
Amazing food! The cauliflower cheese soup is highly recommended along with the fresh baked scones. 👌👌
