I love Purple Moose as a brand and I love this pub. From the moment you walk through the door this place is Purple Moose from tip to toe. I love the rustic decor and cheeky quirks. Staff are friendly and a great buzzing atmosphere. Tables, chairs and benches all branded with the iconic Purple Moose head. Great quirky pub. Fantastic beers obviously Purple Moose is served both on tap and in bottles. Even the loos are sign posted by Moose it's fantastic. The quirky decor goes inside the toilets too. This whole place is bursting with Moose character. In fact after leaving we went a couple of doors down and kitted ourselves out with plenty of merchandise, clothing and more bottled beers from the Purple Moose Brewery Shop. I can't comment first hand but the food being brought out looked and smelled superb also.

Nipped in for a quick snack and a beer. There was a large selection of beers ranging from lagers to ipas and stouts. The food was reasonably priced and of a good quality. The bar staff are brilliant, engaging and welcoming. All in all well worth a visit if you want a proper pint πŸ‘πŸ»

I don't normally go for pub food, but it was really nice food. I had their dark side burger, my son had lasagne. Both were served nice and hot and seemed freshly cooked. The lasagne bowl was red hot. All the staff were friendly and attentive. Would easily recommend eating here.

This is a lovely pub that is always a great place to come for lunch. Can get busy during the high season so there may be a wait for a table. Food is consistently good, with attention to detail noted. For example, orange segments in the side salad. Chefs here obviously care about the standard and quality of their food. Staff are lovely, and the big bonus is they welcome dogs. Definitely recommend πŸ‘

Great pub. Had a long walk in the mountains and wanted a decent gluten free dinner. Walked in to good rock music on the stereo, very chilled barman and an excellent menu. Pleased to say the food was very very good - I always love a well cooked fish and chips!

Very nice comfortable and welcoming bar serving good food and drinks at reasonable prices. Our latest visit was spoiled by the number of dogs in the bar. One group brought 6 dogs into the bar to add to the 2 already there. Not good for my daughter who suffers with asthma and associated breathing difficulties so we decided not to have lunch and left early. Shame !

A stop to Porthmadog is not complete without stopping by the Australia. The tap of the Purple Moose Brewery is home to amazing beers and great food. Try the beers, find a favourite then nip to the shop next door but one to take a pint home with you.
