Very tasty lunch of fish and chips. Good flavour, enough portion for lunchtime and reasonable price. We sat with our dog in a window overlooking the boats at Porthleven. Staff very friendly and polite. 😊

We went for an evening meal if was a fab experience. The salmon I had for starters was amazing..so tasty We both had the cod and chips and honestly was wonderful,no room for pudding although the ones I saw looked good. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable and paid attention to detail. Beautiful location too.

Good, locally sourced food. Simple dishes often, like grilled mackerel or breaded lamb. Not crazy expensive. Sit on the ground floor if you aren't great at stairs; the main bathrooms are a bit of a hike.

Lovely atmosphere especially for couples and small groups. Food was delicious and decently priced. Starters and mains were the stars of the show.

A fantastic dining experience, two children and two adults. The food and service were first class. Highly recommend for a family meal. The location is superb.

The mackerel starter was full of flavour as was the mussels. I ordered the barbecue chicken as a main with tarragon carrots as a side, highly recommended and very tasty. My wife had Indonesian curry which came with rice and a side of green beans. The waitress was very attentive and polite at all times. Expensive but on par with similar restaurants in the are, two adults and two children (one eating from the adult menu) had a starter, main and drinks for just over £100'

The most elegant restaurant in Porthleven: nice place, nice staff, good food. Good food but small portions, big price, do not have draft beer. The toilet is in top of building.

Very welcoming and friendly staff even though we came with a toddler and a baby with no reservation. Delicious seafood and a couple of non-fish options which were equally tasty. Sensible selection of vegetables available as sides as well as a tasty and balanced kids menu. Overall very impressed. Price was slightly above pub food but not the most expensive restaurant and seemed to fit the setting and cuisine.

Had Sunday lunch, as a last-minute shoe-in, and we were impressed. Staff excellent. Food faultless. Not fast food, but well timed. We went back for the Thursday pensioners lunchtime fish and chips. The best I have tasted for a while. Reduced price, but not the portion size. So pleased that we sought them out.

Friendly staff, good food, reasonable price for lunch. Enjoyed mussels and chips £9.95. Not a huge portion but beautiful big juicy mussels. Had to wait a fair time between courses but with the lovely view and good atmosphere it didn't matter.

Standard lunch menu (fish and chips), decent fries and nice cod (thicker, deeper batter than what you would get at local).

We were seated upstairs for dinner which only had one other table of two people and the atmosphere was not that good, although it was a Thursday night. The waiter we had was very slow and didn't come upstairs that often, when he eventually did we ordered drinks and our dinner all in one go. The food was very nice, and the fish tasted extremely fresh and flavourful. For two courses and some wine the price wasn't too bad. I think this would be a great place to go during the day time so you can experience the view of the small harbour outside through the large windows, and it is definitely worth booking so that you have a table downstairs where it seems to be a lot more livelier and the staff are much more attentive.
