The Sloop Inn - Porthgain - Photo album

We pre booked but the sloop was pretty quiet on 1st October. We had 3 roast chicken dinners and one scampi and chips, with a few extras, everything was great. My highlight though was the goats cheese salad I had to start, it was excellent. Great place, great food and great staff, would recommend.
Highly recommended. A wonderful historic pub in the historic fishing village of Porthgain. "You can't miss it" in this tiny but delightful haven. They had outdoor live music which was great to listen to as the sun went down over the harbour on a great day. The staff are great, the choice of Beverid
Lovely little harbour side pub! Lovely friendly pup atmosphere, prices were about average, but food was well above average! Nice selection of beers (would recommend the seascape!) Went twice for evening meal on our holiday, will definitely go again next time we are in the area!
Proper pub, full of curiosities. Lovely staff. Very relaxing place to chill. Portgain is a tiny place dominated by a old brick works building
Good food & friendly staff. I Come here everytime I'm in Pembrokeshire never have a bad experience. Booking recommended.
We visit this pub every time we are in the area. It is our ‘port in a storm’ literally! The food is always great and service is wonderful. This time we lost power at our holiday cottage so with no power and no phone reception they welcomed us and, as well as a lovely meal and a warm fire, they allow
Great pub with an excellent menu and good selection of local beers. Hearty portions and a lovely atmosphere. Staff were excellent. Will 100% be back next time we are there and have already recommended it to others
Quirky interior, great food and in an exceptional location. We arrived after a long morning walk and had a lovely lunch. I had a very well cooked Steak and my wife the fish pie. We then had another amazing walk around the harbour of Porthgain and up onto the clifftop along the Pembrokeshire Coast P
Very difficult to rate this place. Its a beautiful little bay. I was expecting more seafood in menu but still got my lobster and whitebaits.
Cosy traditional pub with friendly staff and good food
Amazing restaurant, very tasty food, authentic decorations, friendly staff
You can't beat this place for location. The outside is glorious on a sunny day and the inside has traditional seaside pub decor; the kind of place you could enjoy quite a few hours at. We visited on 27 April 2022 whilst on holiday and enjoyed the warm sun outside the pub but I was equally tempted b
Ate outside. View not great as we thought the pub was right next to sea. It sort of is but not as close as we thought. Food and service fabulous 👌
We had a couple of drinks and dinner recently. I had the Ham Hock and my partner had the Chicken & Mushroom Tagliatelle..... both dishes were just delicious. Absolutely top notch food, service and staff, and a stunning location. Will definitely make a special journey to eat here again when we are
Traditional pub in a lovely location in Porthgain. Friendly and efficient staff. Outdoor seating for a relaxed meal at any time of day. Good menu and daily specials. I tried the Welsh Glamorgan sausages, they were so so tasty and my husband had steak which was cooked to perfection. Great spot, would
We have just had the best ploughman’s lunches. Fabulous ham, olive bread, Stilton, cheddar and pork pie with 2 fantastic chutneys. Great pub, we have eaten there before and always go when we are up here.
What a great pub, full of history and I love the area it is located in. The food is pub food but really good. They offer a good selection of beers as well. I really enjoyed the pub and will be back again
Food to write home about! We arrived late afternoon on a rainy Sunday and amazingly got a walk in table (lesson we learned was book!). Lovely atmosphere of nautical holiday fun. Great 90s tracks playing at an acceptable volume. Helpful staff. Great looking menu. We opted for kids Welsh Sausages. Gla
