Such a great fish and chips. Curry sauce was banging. Gravy was real good too
Absolutely gorgeous food but it costs an arm and a leg! That's a given considering it's probably thriving off tourists and you definitely pay for the food being fresh. We had cod and scampi which were both cooked fresh whilst we were there. Totally worth the wait. Sauces cost extra (about 40p or so) - tartar sauce went great with the scampi. They also helpfully split a bag of chips into separate boxes for us with the separate fish items which was really helpful considering we were off to the beachfront to eat the food. Definitely recommend :)
I stayed locally on holiday last year & went here purely because the queue wasn't big & wasn't disappointed, so went back again on my visit this year. The price has gone up, but still worth every penny. Just one little moan, you forgot my mushy peas.

Rather confused at the other reviewers on Google as I absolutely loved it here. Food was delicious- did take a while to come but was stunning. Curry sauce was gorgeous! Fish was fresh and was amazing. Staff were incredibly welcoming and friendly. Toilets were clean. All in all a lovely experience and will be returning.
Lovely fish and chips. Quite expensive (compared to Yorkshire prices), but the fish is cooked to order so you know it's done fresh. Friendly staff and can be ordered ahead online/app to reduce waiting times
My go to Chippie in Porthcawl. Been going since before it was Finnegan's ran and continue to. I love having the which chippie is best in Porthcawl debate with people. The name is not as well known as the one around the corner by the park, but the quality of food and portion size is much better at Finnegan's. I've tried all the others when it has been convenient with family to pop into them, and have always come back to Finnegan's.
Lovely place to eat. Food was extremely tasty and hot. Staff extremely friendly and helpful.
Only thing i would improve on is portions as didn't get much chips for a large.
