The Kings Arms - Portesham - Photo album

We wandered from the campsite to the pub in heavy rain with 2 nutty dogs who were soaking. We were made very welcome and when I asked for a quieter area , so they wouldn't disturb others, we were shown the conservatory, which was perfect. We only had a couple of drinks and some crisps, but felt comf
Got in the car to write my review straight away. One of the best meals I’ve had in a long time, reasonably priced for the fantastic quality of food. The staff were very attentive and lovely conversation. The restaurant is also clearly well thought out in terms of decor with lots of local themed art
Diverse menu and friendly staff who were attentive and approachable. Lots of advice provided when looking for allergen options. Food was well prepared, well presented and tasted delicious and for a fair price. Wine menu was diverse. Atmosphere perfect!
Four of us, looking for a Sunday lunch 16/10/23 were not disappointed. We had two roast beef and two pork belly. Fabulously presented and the meat was tender. Staff were friendly, helpful and chatty. Well done The Kings Arms. We’ll certainly pop in the next time we’re in Dorset!!
Only had a pint was going to eat but nothing took our fancy. My husband wasn't impressed when barman served a local before him, a good barman should know who's next to be served especially when the pub was quiet. Nice pub lots of outdoor seating, dog friendly.
A lovely venue in a quiet village. We came twice whilst we stayed in Potersham farm camping (caravans and motorhomes as well) The first night we think the chef was off as the burger was cooked far too long. The rest of the meal was great, they replaced our burgers with a whole new meal but although
Another buisness review . I have stopped here before and I was very impressed first time This time surpassed my expectations The parking is great the pub is comfy and cosy and the owner cant do enough for you and calls you by name. The pub is dog friendly and the people super friendly The meal or ar
Beautiful old traditional pub in perfect location in the middle of this pretty village. We had fish & chips and the monk fish curry. Both tasted really nice and no issues other that the curry mentioned Pak Choi but came with broccoli stalks. Still suitable but when I pointed it out to the staff I ju
Have to agree with lady who posted an hour ago . Beautiful setting and I really don’t mind paying the price if the food delivered is worth it but sadly it wasn’t . Burger was so well good it was dry and chewy / burger bun dry / fish over cooked • No table service tonight but 3 staff visible and the
I was staying at the campsite a short walk away from the pub and went on a reccomendation for dinner. My goodness I'm so pleased I did, ended up eating there two nights. Locally sourced produce, excellent food, beautifully kept, the absolute epitome of dog friendly. All staff were attentive and poli

Only stopped here for drinks. Very friendly barman. Good selection of drinks. A large outside seating area which is ideal in good weather. Well worth a visit
Me&the other half chose to grab some lunch at this lovely pub/restaurant/Hote driving from Weymouth. we chose the Sunday carvery off the menu to eat outside,it was absolutely amazing, everything fresh&well presented, the thick cuts of beef cooked to perfection. Taking in the area while sat outside on
We were camping at Portersham Dairy farm campsite. The King's arms is just a five mins walk from the campsite. offering great selection of beers and wines and affordable food. Definitely would recommend for a beer and some food. Dog freindly too and loads of outside seating.
Brilliant pub. Outstanding bar keeper in Simon and the owner keeps a good beer and a welcoming place for a pint and a bite.
Nice comfortable room. Breakfast was at The Ducky's Café nearby where you can have anything and everything off their menu (included in your room rate) if you have that kind of appetite. Our breakfast was superb and the lady serving was very friendly and accommodating. I hope that The Kings Arms and
