Having been to The Twelve Knights on numerous occasions for lunch, my partner and i came to the decision that it was the ideal place to hold our wedding reception. Having enjoyed the food and receiving excellent service.
We got married on 25/02/2017.
Everyone commented on the fabulous presentation of the room and how much they enjoyed the food.
The staff were friendly and extremely welcoming. My husband and I would recommend The Twelve Knights to anyone looking for a fab place to eat with a great atmosphere.

Stayed here to save a three hour drive back after hosting our ghost hunt at Magram Castle and was not disappointed. The bedding was comfortable, the bath was huge and the service was friendly. Had breakfast the next morning and was again a nice breakfast, portion sizes could have been better especially after paying £9.99 each... although to be fair the manager (I think he was anyway) said we only needed to pay for one so that was very kind. Will book again for July! :)
Brought some guests from London for a late afternoon lunch on Sunday 9/7/17. My guests thoroughly enjoyed the food as did I. Service was excellent and friendly. Only drawback was the flies which continually plagued us during our meal which I expect came in through open patio doors on a gorgeous day. Other than the unwelcome wildlife, a great meal and good overall experience. I'll bring my own fly spray next time.

Booked the Twelve Knights for a works do of 50 people on 31/03/2017. We had pre-ordered off the main menu and the food was booked for 1pm. Prior to the event a few attendees cancelled and others added on. The venue were able to amend the orders without any issues especially since some were shorter notice than others. On the day I was shown to the room and all the tables were set ready and the venue had also provided jugs of water for the room, a nice touch. Multiple staff checked with me to see if we were ready to start service which I found to be very attentive and allowed me to ensure all guests had arrived. The food service was quick and efficient, each table received their food within an hour of start time. Which with 50 guests and a few starters is very impressive. All guests were happy with their food and not one guest reported any problems. A few guests were then able to order dessert on the day which also came promptly. A great success and send off for our colleague. Big thanks to all the Twelve Knights team.
Had lovely welcome and staff very friendly. The Room was very nice, clean and plenty of hot water. They have only a double bed, could done with king size duvet as hubby kept taking the covers. �The only thing loud bass in bedroom, but it did stop after 11pm. The food was good and there was nice atmosphere about the place and the pub was easy to find. We will come back.
Great food . This place has a great selection of meals at a great price. Friendly staff and a great atmosphere. If you are in the area call in you wont be disappointed.
I regularly go to the 12 knights at functions there. The management and staggering are extremely helpful and kind, the food is remarkable and it's a huge building with plenty of space indoor and outdoor with lots of parking, great time there :)
Once again the twelve knights didn't disappoint food was stunning great place will definitely be returning again and again and again

Brilliant night Friday night really nice food staff were brilliant room was brilliant was I formed on arrival that it was band night so may be a loud night but all the same we really injoyd breakfast was brilliant would defo be visiting again ���🖒🖒🖒
We had a lovely works leaving do meal, the food was delicious. All orders arrived on time of arrival. The staff were very efficient and friendly!
Stayed the night in The Twelve Knights and we loved the atmosphere there, clean rooms, friendly staff,good food and cheap drinks.What more can you ask for? Definitely recommend it!
When I arrived the pub/Hotel looked lovely with lots of people outside enjoying the sunshine and a few drinks. I went to the reception area and received a friendly welcome from Carys who offered to take my bags and then showed me to my room pointing out the out of hours exit and what to do in case of a fire alarm activation. The room was spotlessly clean spacious and well furnished including lots of tea, coffee and milk etc. There was a large ensuite that was ideal for my needs. When I went down to the bar I had a couple of drinks chatting to the staff and locals and felt very welcome. I then enjoyed a delicious supper which was very reasonably priced. I would like to take this opportunity to thank Carys and her team for such a lovely stay. Thoroughly recommended. Would I stay again? Yes definitely.

We came to the restaurant for my husband's birthday. We were greeted at the bar very quickly and was told to sit wherever we liked, as it was very quiet at the time. We were served our drinks extremely quickly, and then once we had browsed the menu, our order was taken very efficiently at the bar. Our starters arrived, piping hot, we both had the pea and mint soup, which was absolutely delicious. Once finished, our plates were cleared by our server Chloe, who seemed very timid, but did her job impeccably fast and efficiently, which was very pleasing. Chloe was extremely polite, and very professional, and up for a general chat, which is what we liked. Our main courses again were served very fast. Again, the food was lovely, and portion size was great for the price paid. Unfortunately, we couldn't finish our meals totally, so asked to take our leftovers home. This was no trouble, the only disappointing thing was, that the kitchen did not have any boxes to pack the leftovers up in, so we were given cling film instead. This wasn't a major issue, as we only had a small amount of leftovers to pack, it would have been a little concerning, had we had more to pack, so I would suggest that proper containers for leftovers are kept in constant supply for the future. After packing our leftovers, we ordered desserts, these again were scrumptious. As it was my husband's birthday, we were very surprised, when Chloe came to our table with a birthday card for him, we thoroughly appreciated the effort made with this, but sadly we accidentally left the card behind on our table, but only realised once we arrived home, and unfortunately don't live very local, so couldn't go back to collect it, but we truly appreciate the thought by the restaurant, and will 100% be returning very soon. Thank you to all the staff, especially all the kitchen staff for producing great food and to our server Chloe for her terrific service. Look forward to seeing you all again very soon 🙂
Food was lovely, served piping hot. Service was lovely and welcoming, as always is. Picked up the festive menu which looks lovely with great selection (not just boring turkey roast) and a reasonable price.

Unfortunately my steak wasn't cooked to what I had ordered, but it was rectified immediately and given a fresh plate of food. BBQ cauliflower wings are stunning

Stopped here unexpectedly in the hope of getting a Sunday roast. Initially told they were unable to offer a roast as we hadn't booked. After checking with the kitchen we were able to enjoy a roast.
Great service and good food. Very good size portions and the smaller plate was more than enough for me.
Would recommend if in the area.
Superb night there on a Friday night, great selection of ales including local ones. Atmosphere was great, staff very friendly and helpful. Restaurant was closed when I got there so cannot comment on the food, bit breakfast was perfect. Room was very clean and comfortable, and no noise from the bar area despite being very busy.
Throughly recommended and will be staying here again in the near future if I'm working around here again.

Dog friendly in bar area. Had macaroni cheese (amazing)and family and friend had sausage and mash. Very busy as football day, but service was good given this. Bit noisy in bar area but understandable given reason.
Called in for a quiet drink with a friend. And being mid week it was certainly quiet. Staff were friendly and chatty. Maybe we'll try some food next time
My go to pub with staff to be proud of! Always smiling and happy to help with anything and they always go the extra mile for customers. Will definitely return for some more amazing food and fantastic selection of drinks!
Booked the back room for a question and answer evening. We were made welcome and able to set up all our equipment. A good turnout and lots bought food and drinks so a win, win situation. Many thanks to the manager.
Stayed for 5 nights. Cheap and very, very cheerful. Big room, hot showers, comfy bed, but it was advertised on website as being king-size, but it was a double. My partner is a big man, so we struggled in a double, but bed was comfy.
The staff are amazing , nothing is too much trouble. Friendly and helpful.
The food was fantastic, hot and fresh every time. Will stay again when in the area.

I have to say I'm impressed. Since the makeover is really improved. Nice selection of food which is really well cooked. Fish and chips was great, and the rump steak was beautifully cooked. Thoroughly enjoyable!
