I wanted a tree or plant for my birthday something that will last and special to me. We went to Port Sunlight as we've always had beautiful plants from here before. I saw the tree above a Magnolia Susan and found a member of staff who helped us in making the right decision for our very sunny garden.
I took the opportunity to ask about a few rhododendron plants I'd bought the year before. She was very knowledgeable and helped me with my very slow growing plants.
I had the tree delivered as I couldn't fit it into my car. The process was very easy and reasonable. The young man who delivered the tree was a star, placing the tree right next to were it was going to be planted. The tree is now in the ground and is doing ever so well. I get great pleasure from seeing Susan in my garden and can't thank the staff here enough for their professional and friendly service
My wife is a knowledgeable gardener and loves this place and will quite happily spend an afternoon wondering around. It's in Port Sunlight which a very nice area where you can also go for a walk around the gardens. It's unusual that the restaurant has shut down as it was a nice place for a cup of tea.
Great little garden centre in a lovely and well maintained area. Bit pricey but some good bargains found at this time of year. I got a new apple tree for around £26 and other useful bits. Worth a visit.
If you are in Port Sunlight then make a trip to the garden centre. It is lovely and really well stocked with lots of gift ideas. Plenty of parking available. They have started to get in the Christmas stock. Could have spent all day here and done my Christmas shopping but we were too hungry so had to go to find subsistence elsewhere...Thought there would be a cafe there but this seems to have closed. There are toilets there..
Nearby eateries are the Bridge Inn and the tea room opposite station and restaurant in the museum...
Don't know how long ago this happened, there's no cafe, it's gone, gutted, I know it's a well stocked, garden centre & home decor centre, cafe use to be the highlight of our trips there, stock up on our gardening needs, spend a bit extra on home furnishings, then have something g to eat & drink, cafe was busy little place, was when we were there anyway, probably a good support for the local community too, never mind, probably blame covid. Still a well stocked garden centre, better than a visit to B&Q.
Took my 90 year old Mum to see this lovely, well laid out and impressive garden centre in the quaint village. I stayed in the village last year on holiday and remembered the garden centre. Mum had an interesting time aided by a very helpful and knowledgeable member of staff, getting what she wanted.
Visited as wanted to check some Christmas stuff and it was my first visit there, it's not Garden centre when I went there it was like North Pole centre. I haven't seen so many decorations in any other place, definitely will be back next year.
Plenty of parking spaces available.
This is a good independent garden centre; a great selection of seeds, tools and plants plus lots of things you really want for your garden; but don't really need! 😂
The plants look well cared for; there's something for all budgets and a big plus is that it's dog friendly, has loos and is easily accessible by public transport.
Lovely place to wander round, and they have a huge selection of plants and garden accessories and tools etc. Gardening enthusiasts could easily spend a couple of hours in here. The only problem is the plants are a little pricey, so if youre looking for a load of cheap plants, this isn't the place for you.
Reasonably priced. Always enjoy trips here. Very friendly and hard working staff. Nice atmosphere 👌
Good range of flowers , garden furniture , they have a gift area where u find lots of lovely bitls like cards books , candles etc.
Calm and lovely atmosphere
Its a shame they got rid of their coffee shop which was a credit to them , but its still nice to go , its decently priced. There is a animal section aswell to buy for your fury friends .
Great little garden centre for plants. They look after them very well. Massive shame they took the restaurant away and changed into a room selling cards and other bits.
Lovely little (big) garden center. Everywhere you turn it seems like there's more to see.
Massive range of products, from your typical gardening supplies all the way to incense, you'll find something here that interests you. Some good discounts and what seems like genuine bargains.
Seasonal section all themed up for Halloween when we visited which was lovely.
Dog friendly in store.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
The outside surrounding area of port sunlight is picturesque, a very relaxing walk and some nice local sights.
Definitely visit if you're in the area.
Great selection of plants and gardening equipment, good selection of pots, and accessories, reasonable prices, and a lovely little cafe, staff very friendly and always available for help.
Love it here, staff very helpful and polite.
Not over the top prices like some garden centres.
Good choice although it's scattered across the whole store. Prices reasonable and East to find staff
