Beautifully retro, with gingham table cloths and vintage toys and knick knacks. We pre booked a Victorian afternoon tea. On arrival we chose our sandwich fillings (one type each), cake, and our beverages. They arrived on a three tier plate complete with salad and crisps. On the second tier was our huge slices of homemade cake along with mini cakes around the edge. The top tier held two large scones, butter, jam and cream. We had china tea plates and cups and saucers though I noticed that people not having the Victorian tea were given mugs. We were able to relax and enjoy our feast, with just the right amount of attention from staff. We were able to refill our tea pots for free too!
You can get a gift voucher for this tea; it makes an ideal present and is excellent value for money.
Lovely little cafe ( cash only) in a wonderful village you can explore. If you want a day out with a different experience visit Port Sunlight and the the museum and soap factory and learn all about the soap king ' William Hesketh Lever. Well worth a visit.
Wonderful food, staff and really good price. Definitely recommend.
Also, they don’t take card but you can bank transfer.
Lovely village, absolutely delightful, it's like stepping back in time, gorgeous little tea shop with beautiful food, nicley presented and the most gorgeous and fresh selection of home made cakes, the best I've ever tasted. Well worth a visit to Port Sunlight (read the history on the internet before you go) and don't forget to visit the Tudor Rose Tea Shop which is opposite the Train Station. Going on a nice sunny day is recommend.
A little gem in the heart of port sunlight. Lovely service. fair priced tasty lunch. Busy little place but definitely worth the short wait for a table X
My daughter and granddaughter took me here today for a birthday treat. What a treat it was too!!
Very welcoming staff and it's a little gem of a place inside.
We had the victoriana afternoon tea for two and an afternoon tea for one. Really good choice of sandwich fillings and they dont skimp on the size of the filling in the sandwiches too!!
Cakes were a cake lovers dream and fabulous scones.....Mary Berry eat your heart out!!
If you're looking for a treat that's a bit different this is the place, well deserved of the five star review we have given.
Very authentic decor which adds to the atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
Lovely place for a small bite or a full Afternoon Tea. Small and cosy, with lots to look at on the shelves around the premises. Almost a cross between a tea room and a toy museum. Well worth a visit, and reasonably priced. A lack of wheelchair access is the only disappointment, which could be resolved by a temporary ramp, a permanent ramp not being possible due to the whole of Port Sunlight being listed buildings.
Went in for afternoon tea very nice didn't need to book accessibility for disabled people was OK ish the front step was a bit high but managed just maybe a rail but not sure, good experience thou oo the cakes were the best we've has for a while worth a looksee
Had the afternoon tea. All items freshly made and delicious. Loads to eat and couldn't finish my cake so had to bag it.
Went again recently and confirmed it's still delicious. This was ham on brown, scone and coffee (no cake this time). Excellent value and great service.
Just like times gone by brilliant place .. good food good service 👌

Small corner plot tea rooms in Port Sunlight. Has some outdoor seating. They stop serving food an hour before they close, serving only tea and cake thence onwards, so if you are after something more substantial to eat then you need to get there earlier. Busy and popular place. Cash only payments, no card. Apparently used to be the post office. Has, ummmmm, an abundance of teapots and other paraphernalia on shelves around the walls. Cake selection also gets depleted earlier on, but the Victoria sponge cake was very good and a decent portion size. Strawberry milkshake was excellent.
A lovely victorian tea. Very delicious. A choice of sandwich and bread, choice of cake slice and then a fresh scone crispy outside as so freshly baked. Plenty of cream jam and nice to have butter too. In addition a couple of little bites of cake each. Really nice. Would recommend as a treat. 16.50 per person
Old style cafe, reasonable prices. I thought the coffee pot was magical, it didn't seem to empty
Love it here food nice and fresh staff friendly its a bit small and cramped but worth it toilet needs sorting always wet on floor .and a bit dismal maybe needs a revamp
Lovely place, staff are lovely. But unfortunately on my visit they were short staffed so had to wait a while and they ran out of choice of sandwiches on the afternoon tea. What food we did have was nice so I would definitely go again .
Very nice. Not been for a long time, and forgotten how good, and popular it was. We went late morning and really should have booked. But we had our table for 45mins then it was booked for regular lunch crowd.
Prices very good and cakes looked delicious. I had coffee and toast.
Very friendly place , good food and really nice Earyl Gray tea , wide range of hot and cold food , not just tea & cake , following the social distancing rules perfectly , most definitely worth a visit if your passing,
