Lovely quayside pub with fantastic range of real ales and a varied menu. Great vegan option - pearl barley and sweet potato risotto was just delicious. One of the best meals out I’ve had in a while. Someone here knows how to cook 😉
Too late for lunch, but really friendly staff, a decent pint & a nice atmosphere. Pretty little fishing village to spend a couple of hours at.
Very friendly pub for humans and dogs. Only stopped for a couple of drinks but was made to feel very welcome with our 2 dogs. Plenty of locals as well as tourists. The food looked really good and we will eat there next time we visit.

Great old pub near the pebble beach . Good selection of beers and cider.
Had a Sunday roast at this lovely pub. Set right on the beach. Would highly recommend going here.
Pre booked for a party of 10 for a pre ordered Sunday lunch. The staff and food were both excellent. Roasts were all served piping hot with meat and other ingredients being perfectly cooked. Portion sizes were very generous too. Overall a wonderful long Sunday lunch. Thanks to everyone at the Ship for making it such a great afternoon.

2 night stay August 2022. Excellent VFM at £110 for a 2 night stay for 2 people B&B (excellent room, excellent breakfast). Also had evening meal here, cod, chips, garden peas with tartar sauce was (you guessed it..) also excellent. We'll definitely be back in the future, as walking is our main passtime and you cannot fault this area for walking routes and scenery.
Best pub in Porlock for food by far. They also have a creative selection of ales and other drinks. Prices are reasonable. Booking advised because it's hard to get a table at weekends if you just turn up.

Excellent licensed premises. Try the local cider however , beware it has a kick but delightful.
