Oh...my...life! Fantastic! Dog-friendly, good choice of meals, drinks and snacks. Indoor and outdoor seating, friendly staff, great service. I had Rigatoni, Greek style, which was as good as any pasta dish I've had, it was delicious. Cannot praise this place too highly.

Really nice place for lunch. It's popular, so expect a queue, but it seems to come in waves so if you can wait you'll get a seat soon enough. We stopped off here on a long car journey instead of going to the nearby services and I'm glad we did, it was a real treat. I had the chicken club with a portion of chips. Sandwich was lovely and fresh, good balance of fillings. Side salad was OK, could be improved. Felt the chip portion was a bit small, but they tasted alright. Overall, solid 7/10. Wife had prawn marie rose sandwich. Similar story; good sandwich, average salad. 7/10. The cheesecake was very nice, super creamy and the biscuit base was just the right texture. The ice cream it came with had delicious flavour, but I thought just a touch too much sugar. 8/10. Service was reasonably fast considering the rush, and our waitress was fantastic. So friendly and addressed us as every variation of 'my lovelies' or 'my darlings' that we couldn't help but leave with warm cozy vibes.

Wonderful cafe. We called here after getting off the Steamer, we were frozen but had to sit outside as no inside availability. We were given blankets and the outdoor heaters were on, this is a great little touch. Only had drinks and a doggy bag for George but we thoroughly enjoyed what we had and the service was fantastic. Reasonably priced and served quickly and efficiently. Thank you ☺️ could highly recommend 😉

Visited here in November 2023. Fancied a cake and a coffee, popped in here and really enjoyed it. The staff were brilliant, the cake and the dairy free Latte was superb.

Great pancakes at GDs Tea rooms after a long walk along the Ullswater Way. Family member also had the soup of the day (Pea & Ham) which I was assured was really really good!

Fabulous as usual. We had afternoon tea for 2. Lashings of hot tea, lovely fresh rolls cakes, scone, cream jam and great service.

Today we had a choice to visit here instead of the pub and opted for it because we had good memories. However, the food was just okay. I was a bit surprised as we visited a couple of years ago and had lighter bites which were excellent. Service was efficient and prompt.

We came across this little gem on the way past the lakes heading for Scotland and it made the perfect little break, being just 20 mins from the M6 (ish). The staff were efficient and friendly and showed us to a great table overlooking the water and ducks. The cakes were tasty and definitely homemade 😋. It's really dog friendly, even has a little dog menu and the frozen yoghurt was a hit with ours! There's also a public car park opposite which is really handy.

Stopping for breakfast and they squeezed up in straight away. We both had full English breakfast. I have to say it was amazing. The fry wasn't too greasy and the hash browns were delicious. Will definitely call again.
