Have been here a few times for steak, cocktails and nibbles but wanted to try the roast. It's lush. Really well cooked and bottomless everything apart from the meat. The thing that makes this place for me is the staff. They are so well trained. It's a different standard all together. Total pleasure to deal with. Best outdoor space and garden bar in the Cross... massive with beautiful landscaping.

This pub & bar has had a fabulous makeover. It is bright and airy with a good array of drinks on offer. Huge outdoor seating space with covered and uncovered areas, you would almost think that you were out in the countryside somewhere.

We celebrated our wedding anniversary here. The food was great. Good portion. Value for money. The staff were excellent. Very busy restaurant. Book a table well in advance. Bustling atmosphere. I recommend the Amaretto sour cocktail.

Went with some friends for a dinner out and I can't say the food was at the level I expected. I had the smoked pork, which was dry and not very tasty, not quite enough to complain about, but... My wife had the lamb which was 'good'. The guy that served us did a great job, was attentive, and communicative. Overall, one bottle of wine and four mains was over £150, in my book a bit steep. Positive experience, but not superb. Good local.

Food was amazing! The best meal out I've had in a long time. Service was also very good. Lovely and clean. I went at lunchtime during the week so not much of an atmosphere but at least we could hear each other speak - a novelty these days.

My husband and I had a really lovely evening at the newly opened restaurant. The staff were all very attentive and efficient especially Jack who served us . We had a fabulous cheese souffle and the fish soup to start with, followed by pork rib and the fish with a delicious curry sauce . Had to try the chocolate delice for dessert which was delicious. So many other dishes we would like to try so will be returning soon.

Very nice food, service with a smile, worth visiting. Weather unpleasant when there (sitting inside!), and imagine being outside when good weather would be fantastic.

Enjoyed an excellent lunch. Comprehensive menu to cater for all tastes. We enjoyed mussels and baked cheese starters followed by perfectly cooked main courses of cod and pork. Desserts were sublime. Looking forward to our next visit

Went here for dinner and we weren't disappointed. Great food, good brews. The beer garden is huge. They have heaters to keep the seating in the garden warm. They are pet friendly. Friendly bar staff. Overall a great place to get a few beers and good food.

Our third meal at The Britannia and once again it didn’t disappoint. I’m coeliac (severe reaction) and there is a plenty of choice on the regular menu. Today I had the Sunday roast beef with bottomless potatoes and gravy followed by apple and berry crumble. Delicious! Excellent and friendly service and loads of pats and clean fresh water for the dogs.

Fairly expensive which is fine but only a small selection on the menu. The steak looked delicious but I had steak and ale or which was scrummy.

Delicious food as always! Rather noisy gathering next to our table, but not the fault of the staff.

Lots of delicious foody smells had my dining partner and I ready for eating. The restaurant was actually full to the brim mid week and had a lovely buzzy vibe to the place. I ordered beef bourguignon which was the perfect cold winter evening meal. Lovely creamy mash and a decent portion of meaty goodness. I did struggle to eat it with a knife and fork from within the silly crock pot though. My friend had the chicken which looked amazing with lots of mash and gravy type sauce. Apparently it was yummy. We both knew we wanted the crumble as it had been recommended. A decent size hot pudding with a big dollop of ice cream. I was tempted by the core team actually as they had such a vast array of flavours to entice the tastebuds. We shared a bottle of house white and I must say I was most impressed by the fruity and smooth vino. No hint of vinegary dryness at all. I would definitely eat here again. Lovely friendly and attentive service too.

I and my Partner arrived to find this lovely place that is totally transformed 5*staff Thanks Jack5*+ service.. The ambience outside is perfect. We loved the setting. The Rump steak was cooked to perfection compliments "Chef"the only thing on our night, as a Tip for 5*all round was to to dress the salad with more attention. It was very basic whoever made the decision for basic salad.. Will return soon for sure to this lovely place and ask about the improvement on the salad . Thank you all. Well worth it "Britainnia" one of the Best place we have been for a long time.
