Visited here on Friday 13th July while on holiday only passed it on bus day before, what a superb place best pub for ales I've visited in area, give it a try you won't be disappointed I spent 5 hours there, great atmosphere, very friendly staff and a great chat with locals in there loved it.
We (Never Mind The Bongos) provided the live music. We were made very welcome by Mark and his staff and had a great time with all the ‘punters’ singing along to our songs. A really friendly, cosy, atmosphere. A very large selection of fine ales to be tried and tested. Would definitely recommend a visit.
A very friendly place good service good beer glad it back open the place to go
First time there last night , really loved it , a proper pub with great entertainment by Maddison.
Wonderful to see Mark running a pub in Ashley Road again. The huge beer board is full of excellent beers. :D
Fantastic opening night, great atmosphere and the Rhubarb and Ginger Gin went down very well. We will be back soon x
So good to have a proper, relaxed and well endowed (with Ales!) pub back!
Great ambience, great ale and lagers good as well. So good to have Mark back xxx
Great place to chill with friends or family!
Nice place will come again
Well, there’s not many pubs you can visit each week and get a different pint every time, whilst enjoying a Chinese takeaway (I love the Catnip chips 😋). The staff here are fab, always go the extra mile to please customers. Regular beer festivals and excellent prices compared to anywhere nearby. A great pub we now call our local. Keep up the good work 😃👍🏻
My partner and I have been here several times since moving to the area and always have an amazing evening. The staff are super friendly and are always happy to offer recommendations if you are not sure what to try. Wide selection of ales and ciders on draft. We've been to one of their beer festivals which had some amazing Ales and we finally found out they offer Chinese food from next door which is a huge game changer after a few pints. Highly recommend.
My first stop on a mini pub crawl of Parkstone (Weds 28 March 2023). Frankly the best pub of the day (and the standard of all the Parkstone pubs was very high). Would define the place as a maxi micro pub as they do offer craft keg, have a pool table and limited food offering. Real ale was superb as was the craft keg. Nice chatting with manager Michael about real ale etc. Really friendly atmosphere. 👍 from me.
Had a great evening here with friends. Lots of ciders and ales to pick from, didn't have the same thing twice! You can get chinese from next door at the bar and they bring it over to you. Cool decor and the toilets are nice and clean :) new local I think!
Fantastic pub. Feels old school with a pool table and jukebox. BUT. Nice to see lots of different people in there today. The ale selection on cask and keg is absolutely top notch - had the Betty Stogs, Kirkstall No. 5 extra strong and delighted to see a Sierra Nevada in the shape of Torpedo Extra IPA on keg. Great selection and very deserved of its CamRa nomination. Bar service was superb too.
Great selection of Beers on the bar !
Well worth a visit, you can order food from a local takeaway and eat in here !
All the bartenders were friendly and helpful. Very nice variety of ales and ciders. I recommend this place to spend some hours with your friends 😉
Delighted to find this pub, I don't know how long it has been here but I wish I'd know about it when I lived in Bournemouth. Amazing range of beers, snacks & good service. I will absolutely be back next time I am in the area.
Great place for a drink. Wide and ever changing selection of beers and ciders and very helpful staff to assist in navigating you though it 😁
It's a great place with great beer and great staff.. and to make it even better, there's a bus stop right outside and the rail station is just up the road.
