Had a delicious takeaway last night - couldn't believe how generous the portion sizes were. Ordering online is very convenient and easy and we will definitely be ordering again soon!
This Chinese is new to me and our family. But being honest it's absolutely amazing. Great service. Food is amazing and good value. Little bit more than our normal Chinese but still worth every penny.
I am so happy to have found this takeaway. They serve some authentic dishes that I haven't seen in Dorset, and the food was delicious! (I am Chinese, originally from San Francisco, and have struggled to find really good Chinese food over here.) I would highly recommend Alex Wok.
Definitely my favourite local Chinese takeaway. I've been a regular customer for a long time and the staff are always friendly and the food is always yummy. I live close-by so tend to do collection rather than delivery. I've used delivery service from friends homes though and it's pretty standard timing..... occasionally a bit slow at peak times. Just goes to show how popular they are!

This place is the best! The food is always superb, really tasty! It's always delivered on time nice and hot and this time they gave us lucky money in a red envelope and card as it's Chinese New Year, as well as the standard fortune cookie's! Outstanding!!!

The food was exceptional, best in town by far!
The lamb curry was bangingly tasty an perfect spice level, can be hitter if asked. Lamb was tender an succulent. The special friend rice as asked for no prawn and they accompanied our needs due to allergies. The ribs was awesome and moreish! The sweet an sour sauce was sweet and sour and lovely consistency. The spring rolls was the best I had and I judge all places in chicken balls these was all so the best I have had!
Bravo to the chefs and the staff was friendly and very helpful and understanding! Very clean premises and the food didn't take long too cook and was rushed or compromised by trying to be quick

First time ordering from here as we felt our usual one had declined in standards. We we’re quoted 30 mins wait time and it arrived in 15! Everything was cooked to perfection! Especially the salt and chilli squid! Definitely ordering from here again!

Nice food, friendly owners. Food at times can be salty depending on the dish. However, my husband thought pranks crackers stale.
We have been very fortunate to have had this incredible family run takeaway provide a staff of 20 and 120 children with the most magnificent feast to celebrate Chinese New Year. The service was outstanding and the food was delicious. Children and staff had a huge smile of their faces and LOVED all the food. We can not thank you enough. Lots of new customers have just been made. Simply incredible!
Order a late takeaway with 9 mins to go before shutting...turned up and was handed my takeaway and I've gotta say it was so good,tasty and hot...hit the spot..should have taken foto,s.. apologies.

We have recently moved to Poole and were looking forward to our first Chinese meal. I looked at the reviews online along with various menus and finally decided on Alex Wok. The food arrived well within the time specified and was superb. I had salt and spicy ribs...only 2 tiny bones the rest was all meet and there was loads. My wife had the grilled pork dumplings (called wa tip where we come from) she reckons they are the best so far! For mains we ordered chicken chow mein which was also excellent, not at all greasy which is so often a problem.
Food is nice, but recently notice that curry portions and main dishes are getting smaller and price's have gone up, the curry is now served in a small container with large mushrooms and onions taking up most of the already small container leaving less room for the meat and sauce, food always hot and taste nice but not a lot for your money ....
First time we have ordered.. lovely vegetarian takeaway...rice a bit over cooked... everything else tasty and great crunchy vegetables.. will use again
