Sunday roast x7 with dogs. Public car park opposite pub. Fantastic food and very friendly owners and good service. Asked for off menu items and was happy to accommodate. Two open fires in a traditional style pub. Definitely recommend.
Marie and Tony at The Blue Boar are fantastic from helping bring every aspect of my wedding together (countless emails from me sorry!) to providing the most amazing food which our guest very much appreciated! I can't thank you enough and can't wait to come back and have the fish and chips again bec
Very quiet on my visit, so I had a good look round. Good choice of ales, real fire and an interesting basement dining area resembling a cave or cavernous cellar. Look forward to popping
Went here on a Saturday night and it was a bit dead (people had just cleared out ater the rugby). Downstairs had a function on and sounded like they were having a good time. Enjoyed my pint though
Marie, Tony and their amazing group of staff helped me throw my partner an amazing surprise 60th in the beautiful cellar bar. Marie was so helpful through all the planning and all our guests had such wonderful things to say about the buffet, pizzas, surroundings and how lovely everyone was. Thank yo
Great food, great service, would recommend! We went as a party of 8 + a dog during one of the night during Easter break. Fish & chips were superb, especially the chips - crispy outside and so soft inside. The sirloin steaks were perfectly cooked to our liking. Chicken was a little dry but the staff
My 2nd visit to the BB. Always very friendly staff. Met the landland and her potmanšŸ¤£. They have live music every weekend in the cellar bar. Very interesting history to the building. Will return very soon
I visited at a quiet time and had a pint with friends. We didn't stop to eat, but the menu looks good. It was quiet when we visited, but it was very comfortable and the staff were friendly.
We held a birthday party at the Blue Boar. Marie, Tony and staff were absolutely fantastic. We booked the upstairs room as we invited between 40 and 50 people. We had access to the room beforehand to decorate with balloons etc. The room has its own bar and bathrooms so guests don't need to go downst
