This is one of my happy places. We have taken our sons there since they were 1 and now they are in their 30s. Great facilities and food 'shacks' but the recently reopened restaurant is suffering from 'teething' problems. Hopefully it will get better and do justice to the beautiful beach. Great skies too.

This is my go to place, nice and close parking to the beach, and you can take a leisurely walk down to sandbanks, either on the promenade or by the waters edge on the beach. The parking is very limited, and will be impacted on, now that Rockwater is open there.

Lovely place to walk or just relax on the sandy beach. On the top of the cliff the Garden is just an amazing place to chill and enjoy the view to the Sea.

Lovely beach, parking was easy and personally I thought very cheap, the restaurant was under renovation not a lot you could do about that. The food hut was good and public toilets that didn’t charge!!!! The beach was a clean as it can be with life guards on hand and very good Lovely beach will come again and will take advantage of the little train they use to go to Bournemouth beach

Gorgeous beach. Very clean with plenty of amenities. Dog friendly and dog free areas, and even dedicated outdoor grills you could use to hsve your own barbecue which is a phenomenal idea! Stops littering and damage with those disposable grills.

Clean, sandy beach with plenty of space for everyone. Expensive but available car parking. Accessible toilets. Interesting food service with good seafood choices.

Endless strip of sandy beach, where dogs and owners are able to walk freely and soak up the breathtaking scenery. There is only one option for a coffee and bit of food which means you would need to walk further down for more restaurants. However, the beach is clean and quiet so would definitely recommend.

UPDATE: 29/05/2023 I still find it surprising that in our last two visits (although, almost a year apart) the beach is not as busy as I would have expected! Agree with other reviews that parking can be tricky but considering the sheer size and stretch of that section of coastline, it's hardly surprising. We took some fresh food with us to cook on the public bbq's but they were out of order (shame) and it didn't help that the popular beach side restaurant was closed, being completely refurbished, so not a lot of choice other than to walk half a mile to the Bournemouth pier end of the beach in search of food. There are still a couple of places to get ice cream and drinks though. Not put off at all by the inconvenience of nowhere to eat, especially when it will make the area better for visitors in the future. Well, what can you say about our beatiful beaches across the south of England!? They are pretty stunning, and, my first introduction to PUBLIC BBQ'S ?????? Yep, you heard it, public use bbq's... what a brilliant and novel idea. Next time, I'm bringing FOOD and I'm cooking a barbie on the beach courtesy of these new amazing fitted bbq's!!! Ha!

Could be the best beach/view in world, save bathing shallow water, very small tide, sand amazing, great facilities now with Rockwater cafe.

Beautiful soft sand. Draws huge crowd when weather is good. Car park becomes full quickly - we parked elsewhere and walked. Steep hill to climb heading back to car. Recommend a picnic as cafes acquire huge queues when sunny. Very clean beach.

Fabulous. Parking £2.80 for 1 hour, not bad in the scheme of things. Sea looked inviting (but didn't take a dip, 1 guy did). Sand very clean. Can take dogs onto beach from October 1st. Great walk along to Canford Cliffs beach. Softy ice cream to finish, heaven.

Very active beach this morning. Great open area to visit for the day, have a walk or take the dogs. We brought a coffee and enjoyed the view. Limited Paid parking available using coin, card or by App. Toilet facilities on the beach as well.

So beautiful down there, particularly on a sunny day. The beach is probably one of the best across the entire Bournemouth and Poole coastline, with a feel that you could be somewhere stunning in the States. New restaurant opened right on the beach, well worth a visit.
