First time visiting yesterday for Sunday lunch and we were very impressed with the food and atmosphere. Three of our party had the Sunday roast and it was top notch and two of us had the fish which was perfectly done. Desserts all delicious too. All the staff were very friendly and accommodating and after we finished our meal they even found us a table to watch the World cup rugby match. We will definitely be back again soon. Would highly recommend. Thank you for a lovely afternoon.
Last minute Sunday lunch with friends and pleasantly surprised with The Canford, great food, great service, lots of room and tables, and tucked away with only a few steps/ minutes to the coastline for long walks and beach. Definitely going to return. Two of us had the nut roast, one burger and one pork belly with a range of desserts between us.
Went with friends for pre Xmas lunch and enjoyed our time there. The table was set up nicely, the place is well decorated for the season. Main part is that service and food were really good, even for a fussy person like me, I cannot complain. Staff was attentive.
Very recommend this place, it is lovely in summer as well and close to the beach.
Fantastic boutique hotel with lovely restaurant. The rooms here are amazing! This is definitely more than a 3 star in terms of quality and size of the bedrooms.
There are several areas to eat. The bar is lovely and cosy and welcomes dogs. We ate in the conservatory part (dinner and breakfast) which is really nice and then there is a fab garden area to the back.
Definitely recommend staying or eating here - superb!
Had a lovely meal, but the two screens showing the rugby were out of sync so had a preview from the other side of the bar of what was to come which ruined the game. Highly recommend the food though

Fabulous pub, food was excellent and service very friendly and quick, even during Sunday lunch. Excellent selection of drinks too. Probably one of the best pubs in the area. Highly recommended.
We’ve just moved into the area so this is actually our local. Delicious starters especially the buttery juicy tiger prawns which unfortunately is no longer on the menu. Desserts also lovely. A very nice friendly atmosphere in this pub and staff are all very attentive
I went to the Canford last week and had amazing time with some family and friends. Our waitress Amie, greeted us with smiles and was pleasantly polite and catered to our every need. Defiantly 5 star food and service, would go again:)

It's so lovely here, the staff are friendly and the ambiance is superb. Lovely garden to enjoy too and it's dog friendly. Somewhat expensive but worth the extra.
Great welcome at the bar when we arrived and a couple of Boon Doggle Ales were ordered. (Could have more ales and draft beer generally though as not much choice) A lovely garden to enjoy the summer evening. Seated inside the conservatory Wilf brought us menus and we chose 2 Canford Burgers, 1 Fish and Chips and 1 Pie. Hubby scored his burger a 7 I scored my fish an 8 the chips were a 9. Wilf was attentive and offered his advice. I liked him, a lovely lad with a smile! I had a chocolate brownie which was really good but wish there had been 2 scoops of ice-cream for the size of brownie. My friends Eton Mess tasted beautiful but definitely needed more chunks of meringue. The pub inside is decorated really well, toilets are clean and good. Overall a very good first time visit. I’m sure we will come again. Thank you.
