We are really glad to see the Custom House open again. We have eaten there twice recently and really like the decor and atmosphere. The bar has been moved back a few feet and it has really opened the space up. So far I've had the nacho's, ribs, mackerel & crab pate and a great burger with Monterey Jack cheese and light crispy onion rings. Great food, great service and really good value given the quality. As we live only two hundred yards away we'll be checking in for 'sundowners' on a regular basis. All the best to Fabrizio, Nikki and all the staff.

The Old Custom House on Poole Quay was a great place to eat, sit outside and have a beer and I was sad when it closed, The new owners have transformed the inside, it has a complete new feel to the place, the food is unbelievable, so good, I am sure this summer it will rapidly become THE place to eat in Poole, so get a table booked ASAP.....just make sure there is room for me.

Fabrizio CM 's new cafe bar restaurant on Poole Quay. Salmon and crayfish linguine with a dill butter sauce and parmesan shavings for me. Full rack of ribs with meat falling off the bone for Mr Dunham. Great menu and fab specials board. Not to mention good value prices for freshly cooked food. Well done Chef Tim and all the team!

came here today for lunch it was my husbands Birthday, saw in the Echo that the Custom House was under new management so we thought we would give it a try, well we were not disappointed the food was delicious...the service was excellent, the décor very nice. The waitress asked if we wanted any dessert when she said cake Chris's eyes lit up and he chose a slice of Dorset apple cake, they brought it out with a lit up candle, the cake was delicious, when they bought the bill out I saw they hadn't charged us for the cake so I queried it with them and was told it was on the house...How very nice of them..Well worth a visit...as I said before you won't be disappointed.
Since it has changed hands we were unsure of what to expect and we were hugely impressed. The new owners have done a fantastic job of changing it around a bit but not too much. I took my wife here for her birthday in April soon after they re-opened and the service and food was excellent. Keep up the great work Custom House Cafe.

This is a beautiful location for a meal at any time of day, I was here for breakfast and a walk along the harbour.
Because of the location the price is bound to be a little higher.
The staff were attentive and prompt.
I had a small English breakfast and a cappuccino which came out first and was very nice, hot and strong.
I was a little dissatisfied with the breakfast as neither the bacon nor beans were hot, they didn’t have that just cooked feel about them. But the portion and flavours were great.
I didn’t complain directly, normally would but I was in a rush.
Minor niggles and I would return
Despite going to Poole Quay nearly every weekend my husband and I had never been in to Custom House, we’re very pleased we finally did. It was lunch time and we hadn’t booked, we were greeted warmly by Nikki who told us food could be a 30 minute wait, we were fine with this as we wanted a drink anyway so offered to take any table they could spare, Nikki was very accommodating. We both ordered the Fish & Chips with minted mushy peas, it arrived in less
than 15 minutes which was a very pleasant surprised and was delicious! The chips were so crisp on the outside and fluffy inside, the minted peas were fab and the batter on the fish was wonderful, it was fried but so crisp and non-greasy that it was as if it was oven baked… my husband and I agreed it was one of the best Fish & Chips we’ve had for quite a while… we are looking forward to coming back for a dinner next time and hope to be greeted by Nikki again, she’s so lovely.
Absolutely loved it. Best mussles I ever had in the UK! Delicious and good portions! The team is really sweet and lovely, even clearing seagulls away in a funny and lovely manner to ensure you enjoy a nice hassle free meal and experience!

Tastefully decorated inside and plenty of outside seating should the weather allow. This visit was for an evening meal. Lovely to see a Grenache Rose on offer. Started with a sharing Charcuterie Board which was amazing, beautifully presented. Our mains were the Haddock and Chips and the Pork Schnitzel. Everything sensibly priced. Cannot recommend highly enough but if eating inside worth booking in advance to avoid disappointment.
Great service, lovely waitresses. The restaurant has a very nice homely feel too. My friend and I had breakfast there, which was tasty and good quality.
Great customer service, but comes at a price, expensive compared with other local businesses. Very poor value for money.
The Forest Mushroom Bruchette was divine, the Panna Cote rather pedestrian (too custard-like and overwhelmed by the berry compote). Service was friendly and helpful, atmosphere quiet (it was a Tuesday evening).
A bit of a last minute request on a warm Sunday evening saw us very lucky to be given a table for 5. Most of the tables outside were busy and there were a few larger groups inside. Our service was prompt and friendly. The food and drink went down well. Most places to eat along the quayside looked busy so making a reservation is recommended.
Custom House Poole Bistro & Bar exceeded all my expectations! From the moment I walked in, the warm and welcoming ambiance made me feel at home. Jenson was attentive and knowledgeable, providing excellent recommendations from diverse menu.
The food was simply exceptional, each dish bursting with flavor and beautifully presented. I particularly loved their signature seafood dishes - fresh and cooked to perfection. The chef's attention to detail truly shone through in every bite.
The location right by the harbor added to the overall charm, offering stunning views while I enjoyed my meal. What an amazing meal. They adapted both starter and main to make gluten free. Kept us informed if when food would arrive. It was great the weather was nice so we could sit outside. Great food and less than i thought in my head. Great service. Thankyou x
