Reviews The Stable Poole

A friendly environment in a nice location on Poole Quay. With so many types of Cider available it is a little overwhelming choosing but the staff let you try them and are able to give advice. The food is alright - I had the festive pizza and it was lovely. The crumble isn't what I'd hoped for but it was a healthy style pudding. The service can be a little slow - we were the only table there and despite pre-ordering waited a little longer than expected. Overall a nice place for a drink and bite to eat.

Cider and Pizza I was tempted to give this place four stars, but that would be unfair. I was tempted to do that as this place specialises in cider and I really don't do cider. The pizza is great. The "pot of gold", a fondue of cheese and cider is fantastic. Even if you don't do cider. There is one craft beer on draft (a decent IPA today) plus lager. Lots of cider. They specialize in cider. If you like cider, this is THE place in Poole. If you don't, take someone who likes cider and eat the pizza. You'll enjoy the pizza, and they'll love the cider. Big on veggie and vegan. Dogs, tourists and locals all made welcome by the great staff. Don't go to Pizza Express, come here!

Nice fresh pizzas. Pies looked really nice as well (Didn't have that) service was OK not great but was very busy. I'd recommend the the cider flight board.

A cozy place if you want to have a variety of ciders with friends. A good place to try pies, and though the pizzas are good, they are not exceptional. I do recommend a side of the herbed potato wedges though! They offer a lunch menu between noon to 3 pm and have a tuck-in tuesday offer from 5 pm - a pizza, side and a drink for £10. They also have live music on some nights.

Came across this place by chance and how lucky we did! Very dog friendly (dog beds available as you go in) and excellent food. Three of us had pizza - all excellent- and there were also a good selection of beers on offer. If you're into cider, then you need to go here - more cider than you can shake a stick at! Great bar staff and all round highly recommended place to eat and drink if you're in Poole

Wandered down the quay today and saw "vegan menu" on the wall outside so popped in and it was fab! Great service and recommendations & knowledge on the cider and fantastic food, had a vegan pizza and even the cheese was great!

Lovely little place with a great atmosphere. Very friendly young staff with a great selection of drinks & food. I'm not normally a cider drinker but the local Dorset one is excellent. My wife & I are vegan, our friends aren't, & everybody was very impressed with the pizzas & garlic bread. The vegan pizzas are up there with the best I've tried. Saw some reviews about waiting times for food but I didn't think it took long at all, & that's on a Saturday night. Highly recommend.

A cider house which serves pizza and pies. They serve vegan food. It had a good atmosphere though it can get very noisy. The staff are friendly. My daughter was served a cider that wasn't chilled. I'm not a great fan of cider. I prefer spirits which are also served here. I would recommend this place to local people and visitors. You can spend a very pleasant time here.

Lovely place for a drink after a nice dog walk. Apart from the obvious awesome range of cider and knowledgeable bar staff making recommendations the place is fantastically dog friendly. Dog beds and treats at the ready. Food is excellent, if you like a more rustic style of food it's excellent. Pies and pizza and quite frankly who needs anything other than that!

Very friendly staff lovely and welcoming. The fact they allow dogs is an added bonus! Great selection of ciders and a few ales too! Food always looks amazing so will definitely be back to try some of that. Had experience at your Bournemouth branch so I would imagine it’s as good if not better! Great choice if you’re in and around poole quay and fancy a drink and a bite to eat!

The pizza is delicious and the pot of gold was incredibly tasty! We had two cider flights and our server was kind enough to choose ten different ciders so we had a wide variety to taste! Definitely a good night out!

Really great, different Pizzas and Cider. Makes such a nice change from the usual chain pizzas - they have an especially thin and crispy base, and quite novel and unusual toppings that really 'hit the spot'! Enormous range of ciders too - had to try their 5 glass sampler, just to try a few of them.

Well decorated and welcoming. Staff were also welcoming. The service was straightforward and efficient. The food quality was good and reasonably priced. Big selection of cider as well as other alcoholic and non alcoholic drinks. Overall, quietly impressed.

Pizza was great! Interesting ingredients and flavours. Tuesday deal is also very reasonably priced. 4 stars instead of 5 as we did have to wait quite a while for the food to come even though ot didn't seem very busy. Couldn't fault the food though.

I'm gradually warming to Stable's "pizza and cider" concept and really enjoyed my visit to this location. It's much cosier (and therefore better suited to the food and drink) than the Southampton branch and it's a good re-purposing of what was once a terrible pub. Our meals were a little slow to arrive but we were welcomed warmly and the cider drinker in our party was given an opportunity to sample before buying. It was also good to see an allergen menu both on site and online, which helped greatly in planning our visit. Will definitely return again if we're visiting friends in the area.
