Portsmouth Hoy - Poole - Photo album

You should visit this pub purely for the interior, a feast of nautical embellishments, displayed with care, and attention to detail. The huge collection of artifacts and empheria make this a pub to remember. A good selection of ales on the bar too.
We visited on a Sunday in June 2023, having popped in around 6 months earlier for a pint just before they closed. This time we were there for opening and after checking the menu decided to try the Sunday Roast. We weren't disappointed as the staff were friendly and welcoming, and the food was out of
A traditional, nautical themed pub nestled in the heart of historic Poole Quay. A great selection of real ales, lagers and ciders as well as high quality, generously portioned food at a very reasonable price. An under 18s ban is in place and enforced, allowing the childless to enjoy a pub surround
We have just rediscovered the Portsmouth Hoy and thoroughly recommend it. The food is home cooked with real chips, well cooked and served hot. The pub has lots of character with lots of Navel themed paintings and models. Good service was standard.
Fantastic food and atmosphere. One of the best collections of naval memorabilia I've ever seen and super friendly staff. Highly recommend the fish and chips too!
Amazing Sunday dinner, and reasonably priced, definitely coming back here, also great selection of Badgers Ales
My wife and I were in Poole for a few days visiting an old friend and was recommended this place by the b+b we were staying at as they use it regularly themselves wow!! what a recommendation super friendly staff and what a lovely interior the food was freshly cooked for you and fantastic value for
Fish and chips are great here, the chips are rustic style, very coarsely chopped. One serving is enough for two people. The mussels are almost better, better than some I've eaten in Belgium or Normandy, an absolute must.
Would highly recommend a visit to this pub its a really lovely find full of interesting maritime history. The food is excellent all home cooked we had fish and chips the fish was lovely and white I felt guilty I couldn't eat it all there was so much. Definitely want to come back in Summer time for a
Great pub with a VERY interior. Model ships everywhere. Takes ages to study them all. The staff are very friendly and the food was tastey and plentiful.
