Fabulous atmosphere and food
An unexpectedly wonderful experience. Went in with our fingers crossed. Did not know what to expect in a town like Poole. But they did not disappoint. The food was at far with any good pan asian restaurant in larger cities. The cocktails were plain brilliant. The one we had were all alcohol forward, the way we like them with really bold different flavours. In the food department we loved the beef tataki which was absolutely great on the flavour and texture. Margaret our server made excellent recommendations and was very attentive. Highly recommend them if visiting any nearby location.
This place is the definition of snazzy, the team is delightfully friendly and knowledgeable, and there is an incredible amount of vegan dishes. My friend & I were overwhelmed with options, and that doesn't happen often! Plant lovers, you have to try this place, it's perfect for celebrating a special occasion or just treating yourself - be sure to order a special cocktail, the vegan sushi platter, and a miso glazed aubergine. 💚
Amazing food, we have not had such fresh and authentic Japanese for such a long time and this place definitely delivered! Lovely service and we requested our favourite cocktail off menu and the bartender especially came over to make sure he got it right, while everything came out perfectly timed. Highly recommend dinner here for a special occasion or just for a guaranteed great meal :)
Visited today for the third time, we love the food! Especially the Sushi.
They have improved their waiting times and we had a lovely time.

The food, location, décor is all absolutely fabulous!
The place is gorgeous, probably one of the best in town and the food was wonderful, fresh and tasty, there was 1dish we didn't like all in all.
However we had a small issue with the service.
Don't get me wrong the whole team was lovely! Kind, polite and professional, water were served at the table and plates collected and all our requests were swiftly handled.... however, (we were told in advance that not all portions will be arriving at the same time so no surprise) But 25 minutes wait between the Noddle dish that took about 15m to arrive and the Sushi is toooooo long, we have complained as we were disappointed especially with our wonderful past experience and we have received a nice discount and so the level of service were upped once more, it did however ended up in this review, because all the portions should arrive together, that's just how it is.
The price came to £27 per person, not too pricey but not worth the wait.
I look forward to come again guys, the food was absolutely delicious.
Prices are quite expensive - I had a bowl of charsiu ramen + a 16pcs sushi/sashimi platter total of £50
But it is worth it. You can rarely have tuna with such great taste! And it's oily as well.
And the restaurant has wonderful decorations. It is a great place to hang around with your friends
We visited as a party of four on a Sunday evening in October. The restaurant appears to be a an old bank building or similar very smart and well-maintained. Internally the decor has an elegant Asian vibe. The waiting staff were friendly and helpful from the moment we arrived and throughout our stay; efficient but unrushed. There's a wide menu, Japanese enriched with wider Asian fusion, and everything was really good. Two of our party had spent 10 years in Tokyo and they were impressed. We'll definitely visit again when we're in the area.
The place is beautifully decorated. The
Menu has lots of fabulous dishes on it. We had a lovely meal. The wine was good the service very friendly. They did forget one of our dishes but we're quick to resolve that. If in Poole again would definitely revisit.
Love this restaurant! Has to be my favourite one ! Service is great and the food is amazing! Taste and presentation wise ! 😍 The atmosphere puts you right in a relaxing mood after a long week at work. Would definitely recommend you to go with your love ones 💯
I went here for my Birthday Dinner and enjoyed the food thoroughly. Our waiter gave us some great recommendations.
The Butterfish Tataki was to die for and the Rainbow Maki was good. The Octopus (Tako no Guriru) was light and filling and the Duck was cooked very well. I also got the Takoyaki which was reminded me of the one I’ve had in Japan.
I’d definitely recommend the Butterfish Tataki
Booked a table of 5 for my birthday dinner. We were promptly seated then immediately asked for drinks orders before even being offered a drinks menu or water. After we had ordered drinks we were being rushed into ordering some food, every two minutes different waiters coming and asking if we are ready to order (at least 7 times). After we did order and the food was brought out, we were then just forgotten about and nobody came over anymore to check if we needed any more drinks (4 out of 5 glasses were empty) or if the food was ok. (It was- but no one checked). After we had finished dining, we still had empty glasses and had to wait 20+ minutes until we eventually stopped a waiter walking past and asked if we could order more drinks. The drinks then took another 15 minutes to come. It was also very disappointing that although we had mentioned on the booking itself that it was for my birthday, there was no acknowledgement of this (I have been before and had received a plate with ‘happy birthday’ written on it in some kind of sauce with a sparkler). My sister even went to ask the woman working on the front desk and received a standoffish attitude back saying no. When the £235 bill came, it even listed ‘birthday plate £0.00’ on it!!! That really let the evening down. The interactions with the staff themselves were great, they were very polite and personable but the actual level of service of being rushed to order and then totally forgotten about really dampened what could have been a fantastic evening.
Really nicely decorated place, lovely atmosphere and busy on a weekday evening. We had various sushi dishes - sashimi was very nice, the other dishes were closer to average.
My family and I really enjoyed our meal here. First time for us and they catered for my daughters coeliac diet really well. Giving clear instructions what was safe for her to eat. Separate fryer for cooking and gluten free tempura was great. Food was delicious and will definitely be returning.
Very happy with our visit. We've had many different starters and it was all very good. To finish as main we've had an octopus from the big plates with Konishi Gold Sake and that was just a perfect combination. Lovely interior, good service. Deffinitely would recommend.
We had the best time last night in drgnfly celebrating the end of our family reunion holiday in Poole. Dean our waiter was amazing! So friendly fun and helpful. the chefs were very accommodating of our dietary needs. And the other staff were also lovely too. we had an absolute blast dancing and playing our own music via the Alexa in one of the private dining areas, and we were all made to feel very special. Dean kindly booked us taxis to go home when we were done. 10/10 evening and we will definitely return next time we visit Poole! thank you so much to the whole team!
Had a great night at Drgnfly, Ashley Cross, celebrating our anniversary. The atmosphere is great. The food and cocktails are gorgeous. The staff, the cocktail bar staff and our waiter Kaito, took care of us really well. Thank you all for a wonderful evening and look forward to visiting again.
Before I go into how good the food I have to say how good the waiter (Kaito) was! He was funny and very welcoming, has to be one of the best waiters I have ever had!
Now for the food! The temper king prawns where amazing and were one of the best I have had! The crispy chicken was amazing but not 100% sure on the sauce but was still really tasty!
Last but not least the Coconut Mochi is so good, I would definitely recommend!
All in all an amazing dining experience and it was fairly priced!
Without a doubt the best restraunt experience I've had. Absolutely tremendous staff and the best food I've ever tried. Perfect night celebrating my wedding anniversary. Our waitress (think her name was Margaret) was fantastic! We will be back again for sure.
Lovely interior and a good service. Perhaps a little bit pricey but was busy for Friday night.
Updated my review from 4* to 5*. I had a nice evening with a friend and the food was tasty. Perhaps vegetable tempura could be improved as it was a bit greasy and had very thin coating (I have had tempura vegetables at other places, so can compare). But our main course was really good. Service was good too.
